Are you saying that an F15 strike is the ONLY way a supposed launch site could be taken out? I betcha there's a few specops would disagree with you. They might even wonder, as I do, why SEATAC would be shut down, a stolen plane would draw everyone's eyes to the sky....just to do something that probably about 6 Seals and one Marine could accomplish covertly.

Other option - the F-15s were only up there to take out the plane if it was heading somewhere critical. And, maybe all just a ruse to keep the eyes on the sky while SpecOps did the deed of taking out the target.
