The problem stems from Obama moving political appointees into SES positions prior to the inauguration so they could not be asked for resignations and the placing career Civil Service (loyals) into the vacated positions as “ Acting Deputies”. Congress is then slow rolling Trump Appointees and even when approved, the career CS employees will return to their full time position (which they hold while acting in the other position).

The political activists are not hired IAW properly filled positions as SES.

Also remember, POTUS inherited over 5-7000 security clearance requests that had not been investigated. These personnel (reported to be as many as 5000) are the people in question at SES.

POTUS inherits the enemy by not accepting their resignations (since they were not in appointed positions) after inauguration. These people are DS or Political Hacks. Can you imagine becoming CEO of a company that just hired 10-14000 people sworn to your destruction and destruction of your company and filling ALL of your top two tiered positions in every branch of the company?

This is only part of what POTUS is trying to right!

I have responded to this before. I have been here a long time, but picking on SES people because they have a skill that is needed, and not available to .gov, show how little you know.

How many do you know?

Every single SES I know is pro-trump to the death.

NDAA also includes this - note that the SES is specified. Basically strips security clearance if convicted of crime(s).

SEC. 542. Security clearance reinvestigation of certain personnel who commit certain offenses.

Section 1564 of title 10, United States Code, is amended—

(1) by redesignating subsections (c), (d), (e), and (f) as subsection (d), (e), (f), and (g), respectively; and

(2) by inserting after subsection (b) the following new subsection (c):

“(c) Reinvestigation or readjudication of certain individuals.— (1) The Secretary of Defense shall conduct an investigation or adjudication under subsection (a) of any individual described in paragraph (2) upon—

“(A) conviction of that individual by a court of competent jurisdiction for—

“(i) sexual assault;

“(ii) sexual harassment;

“(iii) fraud against the United States; or

“(iv) any other violation that the Secretary determines renders that individual susceptible to blackmail or raises serious concern regarding the ability of that individual to hold a security clearance; or

“(B) determination by a commanding officer that that individual has committed an offense described in subparagraph (A).

“(2) An individual described in this paragraph in an individual who has a security clearance and is—

“(A) a flag officer;

“(B) a general officer; or

“(C) an employee of the Department of Defense in the Senior Executive Service.

I’m not recalling details, but I am wanting to say that some of the head people of the SES have actually gone on record as being in favor of somehow weaponizing the SES against Trump and by extension - all of us. But my memory on that may be both fuzzy and faulty.
