I suspect that now we're going to learn about the resignation of at least as many compromised Democrats, too late to find someone competitive for the upcoming election.

I see something different happening.

The corrupt Republicans were outed and either withdrew from their races or resigned outright. The corrupt Democrats will be kept in place, and their corruption will be unveiled a week before the election for maximum effect.

I was thinking "behind the scenes". The Hollywood Renegade of a few days back made it clear that it wasn't just the visible actors that were diddling the kids on the set, but also the rest of the crew.

On a positive note, one-by-one people at my office are coming up to me and admitting they are starting to appreciate Trump.

I never made a secret of my support for Trump--far from it--but I do not proselytize at work.

Just yesterday a lady, who is an Executive in the Sales Department, after we strategized on a deal, said: "You know, I'm starting to see how Trump is using his skills as a businessman."

She was impressed with the way he addressed the Iowa farmers' concerns about China tariffs by getting them a new, much better deal with the EU.

FWIW, I know she was anti-Trump last year.

I FREQUENTLY get these kinds of comments, both at work and in family/social life. (Church is already pro-Trump.) This is why I am so confident about 2020, and really, even 2018. (BIGGEST RISK: DS manages to trigger a stock market crash before the election. They will definitely try.)

I have read in detail a fair amount written about this alleged injustice. There are claims that IBM open sourced this patented information just in time for Facebook to put it into use. While this nefarious claim is certainly possible, to me it is more likely that Zuckerberg/ Facebook discovered the obvious details about the patent on their own and put it into use on Facebook, just like Gmail did. Give the nature of Facebook’s approach to software development,I just don’t feel that Facebook even looked at this IBM code. Too formal, without the geek factor of most open source code.

I don’t see any contemporary discussion about Facebook’s alleged complicity in this nefarious act. I see a discussion many years later about this violation. This behavior is typical of patent trolls who wait until many actors have violated the alleged claim, and then litigate these claims so that the accused find it easier to pay a settlement and fight it in court.

As I said, as a person in a directly related field, I do not find the patent novel or nonobvious. While I am no fan of Facebook’s myriad of allegedly illegal activities, I just don’t think that McKibben’s account is an any way persuasive.

Is it possible that he really did have some original solutions to the problem, and that his patent lawyer cut him off at the knees with what you point out are extremely weak patent protections?

If so, my supposition is that from that point on he has no legs to stand on, to push the analogy. With loss of adequate legal/patent protections, it appears he’s out of luck getting any remuneration from a court.

If so, it is a terrible shame - if indeed he actually did have significant contributory ideas.

Let's be realistic. No self-respecting journalist is going to print stories about an anonymous guy who has a one letter name who communicates to people via a chat board famous for hosting Japanese comic books.

Many journalists limit themselves to using only on-the-record sources in their stories. Even then, the rule of thumb is to get TWO on the record sources. The usual "anonymous source" cited by reporters is almost always better described as "a source who requested not being named". That means they know who the person is, but they aren't telling you, the reader.

You most famous anonymous source of the last 100 years is probably Deep Throat. He was unknown to us, but Woodward and Bernstein and Ben Bradley all knew who he was. Eventually, when he was an old man and his lawyer let the information out, they did tell us who he was.

So, even before you get to the owners of the media wanting to spike the story (and that happens too) you have the problem of a single source, who is also an unknown individual or group, posting in coded language, on a website famous for (among other things) pranks.

Imagine taking the story into your editor and trying to sell it.

That doesn't mean Q isn't real or legit, it means that he / they have positioned themselves in such a way that it is very difficult for the media to cover them.

If Q is what everyone says, then we have to assume this was deliberate. Q doesn't want reporters writing stories about him, he want's anons decoding his messages, he wants them to spread to secondary web sites, like Free Republic and Twitter and Gag and You Tube. And still the MSM can't really write about it except as "crazy conspiracy theory" because using their rules it has no basis in fact.

It comes down to the risk of credibility.

As an example Tucker Carlson reported the Mueller is giving Tony Podesta immunity, in the same time frame we knew that Mueller had asked for immunity for 5 witnesses in the Virginia case against him for tax evasion.

When the 5 names were revealed a few days after Tucker's reporting Podesta's name was not among them.

Tucker was subject to a huge amount of pummeling by other media for mis-reporting a story.

Tucker, in this case, may turn out to be right, because he is now claiming that the immunity was sought and granted in the Federal case in DC, not the case in Virginia.

Now, granted "Crooks and Liars" is not the ultimate authority on stuff, but this same line was all over the MSM.

If you are a reporter trying to make a living as a reporter the MSM is not your enemy, it's is your employer and all your future employers. A reporter only has their reputation to get them a job, if they destroy it reporting rumors from an unknown source posting on a cartoon related website -- they are not going to be very employable.

Even guys like Rush don't want to get caught up in something that doesn't pan out and have his accuracy impugned on account of it. There is no upside to reporting on it, and lots of downsides.

That's one reason I think keeping track of what HAS crossed over to the MSM is important.

So does Q. A month or so ago he posted a long post that was all links about "the Q phenomena" from various more-or-less mainstream sources.

Like I've said Q has to cross over the the MSM, or the phenomena that Q writes about have to become factually indisputable events.

The indictment of James A. Wolfe is such an immutable fact. So is the indictment of Clare Bronfman for money-laundering NIXVM cult money. We have to hope that there is more and more of those sorts of indictments coming down. Even they the MSM might not be reporting on Q, but they will sure be reading hm and reporting on the fruits from his tree.

I wish that if indeed he did contribute to the breakthroughs on how to build a social media, he would have some kind of legal resource. I read that about the lawyer betrayal and that alone made me so righteously indignant on his behalf.

Much agree. Don't know how comparable both situations are. I suspect we are now somewhere between 30 & 40 million but that may be very off. Another site has a poll that shows ~95% of the respondents do NOT know Q or only their immediate family does. 5% of 350 million is about 17,500,000. Close to 20 million. Maybe we aren't up to 30 or 40 million yet. Would love to see viable stats. Probably Trump has such.

I don't know how much it is a percentage of the general population that is crucial . . . vs how many influencers are on Q's side. They are clearly related but far from identical measures.

Locally, we keep handing out cards and mostly getting decent responses. One yesterday got a bit stiff and showed signs of incredulity. Their loss.

I thought Q warned of the possibility of a sharp market sell off back a ways? I don’t think people in the market are going to let a crash affect their voting this time. Many investors are among the “ Woke”, the rabble rousers don’t invest and the elite market makers are irrelevant since they’re part of the problem.

If a crash/purge is big enough to take down institutions it’s probably going to coincide with POTUS going public and rallying the people to weather the event and win this.

Jack, I want to add this: I agree that Q per se is not useful as a “Source,” due to the factors you outlined.

But clearly, Q IS BIG NEWS, based upon tens of millions (or more) of followers all around the world; and, as an intrepid reporter could easily determine, both an unimaginable access to information (such as shots from airports around the world, Oval Office, obscure connections which prove absolutely on target etc.) for any private individual ... and, of course, many amazing instances where future has proved the past.

Then, after covering all that, an honest reporter (Ha! As-if) could certainly point out there are some apparent misses by Q, or at least assertions which have not been verified.

I repeat: Q, the Q phenomenon, the Q movement, the Q information drops are all HUGE, PERFECTLY VALID NEWS STORIES.
