Here is the base reason a lot of the political conflict is being stirred in our nation right now. When the Democrats had a lock on power and were able to get a lot of their people into Congress and the Federal Agencies, they had everything their way. Those Democrats along with wealthy "friends" who are running various businesses want things to stay the way they are. The all become immensely wealthy, scratch each other's backs and stay on top.
If and when the people begin to realize the real game that is being played doesn't involve the people winning much of anything, the people begin to question government integrity and function and begin to turn against government, particularly the Federal Agencies, realizing they are being economically raped. The government and their wealthy allies then have to get the people fighting each other in order to divert attention away from what they, the government employees, are doing to gain more and more power (i.e. Pelosi, Comey, Strzok, Schumer, the IRS, etc., ad nauseum). Once you divide the people and get them to attack each other, they never see that it was the Federal Agencies and their wealthy allies who caused all of it to stay in power. That is where we are right now.
They hate Trump because he threatens to blow the top off of their deceit and is uncontrollable like all other Presidents have been. As I have stated over and over again, it IS the Federal agencies who are at the root of all of these problems.

It was probably too late to do anything about the alphabet agencies 50+ years ago. FBI alone has 35,000 employees and a budget of almost 9 billion they deign to tell us about. NSA’s open budget is around 10 billion. Snowden said it was around 50 billion off the books per year for surveillance and data collection in 2012, if I recall. They can’t even tell us how many work for the NSA, it is estimated between 30,000 and 40,000. The NSA is the largest employer in Maryland.
Now go look at the % of eligible voter turnout for presidential elections for the last 100 years.

I agree. Public employees, though massive in number are rather tight knit in the promotion of increasing governmental power - as that improves their personal economic position and security. The government class includes a relative few electeds, and they certainly benefit greatly...but it includes as well millions of employees (including state an local governments). Those employees are also part of the government class - they are an interest group and march in lock-step (relatively speaking) just like any other interest group. They are the root of our trouble as they game the entire system for their own benefit.
Just look at the State of Illinois. The largest employer, by far, is the State.
