Wranglers redesign knocked it from the top 10 in the Cars.com American-Made Index, while another Jeep ranks No. 1 _______________________________________________________
Years of auto industry change with parts manufacturing and vehicle assembly scattered around the world leave it nearly impossible to think of cars simply as American made or foreign made.
Still, some cars are more American made than others, and at the top of the list is the Jeep Cherokee, assembled in Belvidere, Ill.
The Cherokee leads the Cars.com 2018 American-Made Index. It edges out Hondas Odyssey minivan and Ridgeline pickup truck, both built in Alabama with high domestic-parts content and U.S.-sourced drivetrains. Fords Chicago-made Taurus ranks fourth. Four of the top 10 most-American vehicles are actually produced by a foreign-based automaker.
Manufacturing diversity within the auto sector, and its typically high-paying jobs, are among the touchier issues as free-traders challenge a series of tariffs lobbed between the U.S. and China and the U.S. and the European Union, and as the Nafta trade pact renegotiations between the U.S., Canada and Mexico intensify.

I have yet to find a NAPA store that is worth my time. I much prefer O’Reilly’s.
You didn’t know Wrangler was a Jeep product?............
Jeep is now a brand of FIAT-Chrysler................
My German car was assembled in Mexico. Very little USA components about it.
Including the fact it is a NON-UNION car.
From the looks of what I see while driving around, I would say the logo. Other than that, they seem mostly built off a Dodge.
LOL!
In general aviation, Hondas new American-made biz jet is really cool and innovative.
I cant help but wonder what theyd bring to NASCAR.
Interesting - no GM!
Well, we now know who the biggest bidder was at cars.com.
Tariff both the parts and the cars coming into America.
I bought a radiator from them a month ago and unboxed it recently for the long languishing K5.
So far so good on leaks. I hope to have belts and brackets back on tonight or tomorrow and hope for no water works.
I didn’t see any pools of antifreeze last night.
So maybe the revamped cooling system will work. All new hoses, heater core, thermostat, water pump, radiator, and radiator support.
Like people now, hard to even be sure of origin of...things!
No joke!

Perhaps you should do a pressure test on that system before you load it up with coolant. Just a suggestion.
