It's hard to draw any hard conclusions from a new survey from CreditCards.com that paints millennials America's largest demographic, often dismissed by older folks as the Entitled Generation as the "worst tippers in the U.S." According to the survey, a weighted study of 1,000 interviews, 10 percent of millennials routinely stiff their servers at restaurants. Compare that figure with the percentage of Gen Xers and baby boomers who admitted stiffing the wait staff: 1.8 percent and 4.4 percent, respectively. The highest percentage of baby boomers (6.1 percent) who stiffed servers was found in the 64-72 age group, some of whom presumably live on fixed incomes and have to watch every cent.

I’m gonna ask wardaddy to send me some talent. He has an educated eye for such endeavors.
When did 15% become a “bad” tip? That used to be standard, and 20% was extra for outstanding service.
Of course they didn’t separate by race to see who the real worst tippers are. But anyone in a service industry knows.
I’ve paid extra for that.

Boobs Are Dessert
I like Toluca Lake on the Burbank side because better services than LA. Its one of my potential locations. And Pasadena is gorgeous but so pricy! Welcome to wardaddy! Im not too far away. Have a good day!
Well done.
We ordered some good weather just for your visit. Although it's surely hotter in Vastly Overpriced Toluca Lake than here behind the Orange Curtain.
..man what a bucolic place... Had no idea
There's some great neighborhoods in LA. I just don't get invited to them. I hear Brentwood rocks. Yaelle probably knows.
I lived in Brentwood for 3 years, nice and safe, but never again. Too lefty. Im in lefty land here too. Toluca Lake probably has pockets of normalcy.
Boobs for dessert, boys, yuck, not into it. ;)
“Boobs for dessert, boys, yuck, not into it. ;)”
Good. Now we know what team you’re on.
Let me guess—It’s the Boomers’ fault?
The man probably insisted on leaving a tip, heh-heh.
Im not Lebanese, as Bill Handel would say.
I sometimes go to Peet’s Coffee to buy a cup. They serve a variety of different blends, but sometimes one blend I want is not made up. The person at the counter will fix a pot of it if I want a cup, so I will put a tip in the jar for doing that, but not just for serving a cup of coffee.
Before that, 10% was standard and 15% was for excellent service...
