Thousands of passengers scheduled to fly out of Charlotte Douglas International Airport, in North Carolina, on an American Airlines-operated carrier became stranded on Thursday night after the airline suddenly canceled all remaining flights. PSA Airlines, a regional carrier for American Airlines, reportedly experienced a technical issue that led to the cancellation of 275 flights on Thursday and 400 on Friday, a representative for the airline confirmed to Fox News. Our team, in coordination with PSA, is working hard to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, said American in a statement. PSA plans to resume their operations at 12 p.m. ET on June 15.

Even worse than DeGaulle in Paris?..............
I’ve never had any particular difficulty with the airport in Charlotte. Given the rise of the “hub and spoke” system decades ago as well as the purchase of Piedmont Airlines by USAir, I’m relegated to practically always having to take a puddle-jumper there for a connecting flight, not very many direct flights remaining to where I need to go. The only complaint I have is that the airport sprawls and appears rather willy-nilly, if your gate is on another concourse you’re going to be pressed to make it at times.
how many hotel vouchers did the airline give out? and thank you for the heads up on charlotte douglaz being the worst airport. I fly bwi , reagan and really havent had too many problems. just arrive about an hour and a half early. you may walk thru security or you may wait 30- 40 minutes. Ft. lauderdale is a nice airport.
Worse than Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta?
Charlotte Douglas - the worst in the World!!!!
Except for MIA, and Detroit, and New Jersey, and well, you get the idea!
Hartsfield-Jackson, we must be politically correct..............
As the tower constantly corrects us - when they do, we drag it out enunciating Hartsfield-Jackson really really slow.
My business travels seldom take me to or through Atlanta but the few exposures I’ve had were actually rather entertaining, that little shuttle subway thing in particular. Does it still have that cyborg voice telling you what to do inside? Been a while for me, obviously. Probably late 90’s since I last flew into Hartsfield.
Hartsfield is far from the worst. It’s just too damn busy for its own britches.
All I know is everyone who works there has an attitude.
Better to have one’s flight cancelled than to be beaten and removed from the plane.
Don’t fly much anymore; but it seems wherever I began and whatever the destination I always had to change planes in Charlotte and the gates were miles apart;(
Counting the hours needed for checking in, security, waiting/changing in Charlotte and the actual flight times - it was often quicker to drive.
Whats your issue with ATL? Its usually pretty good for me.
Theyve upgraded to a pleasant female voice.
Could this have anything to do with the under-qualified air comptrollers?
The voice is different now. Used to remind me of WestWorld.
Yep. A ‘tude.
I’ve rarely had issues at Atlanta Airport, but I fly Delta. I think that makes a difference.
Here’s an opinion on LaGuardia:)
