Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's Statement on LGBTI Pride Month
U.S. Dept of State ^ | June 1, 2018 | Mike Pompeo

Posted on 06/14/2018 2:45:27 PM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

The United States joins people around the world in celebrating Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) Pride Month, and reaffirms its commitment to protecting and defending the human rights of all, including LGBTI persons.

In many parts of the world, LGBTI individuals and their supporters continue to face violence, arrest, harassment and intimidation for standing up for their human rights, participating in peaceful marches and rallies, expressing their views, and simply being who they are. LGBTI persons – like all persons – must be free to enjoy their human rights and fundamental freedoms, including freedom of expression, peaceful assembly, and association, without fear of reprisal. As Americans, we place a high value on these rights and freedoms, which all persons deserve to enjoy fully and equally.

The United States stands firmly with you as you exercise your human rights and fundamental freedoms. We wish you a safe and happy Pride Month.

" . . . defending marriage and defending the basic human rights of ALL people - "gay" or otherwise, is not incompatible or contradictory whatsoever." CondoleezzaProtege.

Except that LGBTI are not content to allow traditional (e.g., Biblical) marriage to stand, ultimately, any more than the LGBTI men who hounded the Colorado baker to the Supreme Court wanted his business to stand. The LGBTI movement in general, want the destruction, and will labor for the destruction of the traditional (Biblical) home and family, just as Mohammedanism will labor for the destruction of the U.S. Constitution in favor of Sharia.

The LGBTI movement is dangerous; it is poison. They will not be content to remain in the bedroom, where they used to say we should leave them alone, but they want in the library story telling sessions, in the school lecterns from K4 to College, in the legislatures and courts, where they will always craft anti-traditional marriage law, and in the mainline denominational church pulpits.

... Or at the very least chosen to ignore it. Trump will do just fine without the pervert vote. There is no need to endorse this stuff.

What business is it of the US government to promote a specific ideology about sexual morality that many people object to and don’t share?

What makes faggies and GiBLeTs so powerful that such a statement from such a high level is even deemed politically necessary?

Less than 2% of the population dictate to us thus. Disgusting!

I think this has more to do with Mike Pompeo’s role as Sec of State than anything else...He has to represent America before leaders of countries that still stone women for adultery and gays for their suspected indiscretions behind closed doors.

“I think making this statement was right and good to do.”

Disgusting. I don’t. He doesn’t have to run them down, but sometimes saying nothing is more important. Why does the US State department need to issue a statement uplifting people who do it in the poophole.
What a bizarre thing to think is “right and good”.

“I don’t think a child or cross-dressing teenager (who 9 times out of 10 may have been the victim of abuse or molestation at the hands of an adult) should be beaten up or put to death. No. That is un-Christian.”

Nobody anywhere said beat them up or put them to death. We said the US State dept shouldn’t be celebrating it and honoring their sicko holiday. And Serb said we should be browbeating Russia and Serbia into hosting parades etc.

Of all the things in the world the US government is silent on, they have to get active about butt-love. It’s depraved. Imagine Henry Stimson, or George Marshall, Madison, Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Daniel Webster issuing a statement about tickling other peoples buttholes. You are deranged and need to rethink thinking this is so dreamy.

Sure it's fluffy and dissembles the hate for a short time. I agree he sounded all inclusive but the immorality in America is not any example to other countries to tolerate this. But as others have pointed out these people will not stop their marches and push for more immorality. I really do not see islam or the acronym brigade will ever be less intolerant.

I do agree Pompeo did his best to dispel the hate until they reassemble and double down.

“The statement was an excellent way to point out that the US is the most tolerant country on earth, unlike most Muslim places.”

But that statement didn’t point that out.

When will he issue a statement about heterosexuals having a great weekend and hope the score a hot chick?

Funding Al Qaeda (the White Helmets) again in Syria and celebrating perversity are not conservative or American values.

While I don’t celebrate their weirdness, I support their right to celebrate whatever they want without being thrown off tall buildings or being stoned to death. The statement was an excellent way to point out that the US is the most tolerant country on earth, unlike most Muslim places.

Well put. That's where I'm coming from as well.

May God forgive us for celebrating sin and deviancy. I pray all homosexuals repent before it us everlastingly too late.
