Can he confirm this, then?

In the year 6565
You won't need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long glass tube

Of course, you can do that now, I suppose.

Hahahahahahaha!! I just posted on a “Solo” thread about how it looks like the whole movie was made, just to defend the error they made about parsecs in the first movie!

(And keep your voice down about the zinc, will ya?)

Zager and Evans were incorrect, but they were close.

It was the year 2727. They’re still performing in my time.

But we have them in glass beakers.

The AMC Pacer made a comeback, too. They are now the primary method of interstellar travel for the average citizen.

With Mr. Fusion, of course.

Invest in Slim Whitman albums. But you didn’t hear that from me.

Oh, and transparent aluminum.

All he has to do is “Invent” one future gadget.

Apparently you haven't seen that excellent Twilight Zone episode, "Of Late I Think of Cliffordville." It is all spelled out there.

Although the man has a Birmingham accent, with a US twang, he claims he is from outer space.

Pure Hokum. Ask him to speak in his native language. Languages morph over time, so how is he still speaking modern English? Look how they spoke in King James' time. I understand that if you go back to the 1300s, we wouldn't understand a word. That's 900 years, what would English sound like in 6491?

Shades of K-Pax

"But I am not really willing to accept your premise, because it may well be that the means of communications they have are of a kind that we do not know how to receive, and that they would not have the means of communicating with sufficiently powerful radio or optical signals. That is something which, technologically, is too difficult for them but they would have some other means we would not recognize." -- Thomas J. Gold, 'Communication with Extraterrestial Intelligence' (Sagan, ed)
"To consider the Earth as the only populated world in infinite space is as absurd as to assert that in an entire field of millet, only one grain will grow." -- Metrodorus, 4th c BC Greek philosopher
"Heaven and earth are large, yet in the whole of space they are but as a small grain of rice. How unreasonable it would be to suppose that, besides the heaven and earth which we can see, there are no other heavens and no other earths." -- Teng Mu, 13th c AD Chinese philosopher
"There are so many fruitcakes with YouTube videos claiming time travel that the company needs to change its logo to that of an orchard." -- SunkenCiv, FReeper since 2000-something

That is a great song. Every once in awhile when I’m trying to tune the oldies station in in my truck, I get to hear that one. It is amusing for sure!
