An American POTUS can LEGALLY authorize electronic surveillance 'without a court order...to acquire foreign intelligence information for periods of up to one year’.

Yes, it's true. Obama had legal authorization to by-pass the normal court vetting process. 4. Such power lies in 50 U.S. Code § 1802 -

I’m all for blowing this thing up & exposing Obama....I’m pointing out that there are powerful forces who do not want this to happen for a variety of reasons & they will do everything in their power to stop it.

“Over there you can see our range of affordable tables. Our bestseller comes directly from Versailles and was briefly used as a guillotine to punish the excesses of the aristocracy. In the midrange, we have one constructed from the trunk of a redwood that grew unmolested in California for hundreds of years, predating the arrival of Lewis and Clark.

Ooh, I see you looking at that conference table. It LOOKS like a normal conference table, but before we put the finish on, we took the entire paycheck of a family of four and burned it in front of them. That’s what those streak marks are. Tears, and the residue from the burning. If you spread a cloth on this table and speak the magic words, it will be set with all manner of good dishes and you can feed almost a million people, but that carries an added markup of $150,000.

But if you don’t need the cloth or additional features, you can get it for $31,000.

What other items can I help you with?”

Nope. Nothing can be done about it except just uncover it and let him suffer in the court of public opinion. I suppose that one could indict him and prosecute him for it but they have a very very high hurtle and are unlikely to do so.

And if so, then nobody in the administrations team will ever be prosecuted. They will have blanket immunity unless they can be linked to the death of somebody or an actual criminal crime like embezzlement, theft et al.

He was on Kimmel’s show and reading one of Trump’s Tweets. It’s hilarious for us, probably not so funny for Obama. Must see stuff:

“Farsi-speaking Valerie Jarrett, the senior adviser to Obama, his right-hand woman was born in Iran. She also has ties with terrorist William Ayers, and her father-in-law, Vernon Jarrett is a card-carrying communist party member and associate of Frank Marshall Davis, the controversial Communist Party activist who was Obama’s childhood mentor. Davis is mentioned many times in Obama’s autobiography.

I wouldn’t count on that. You may be over estimating the Obama Love out there. Chicago is already sick of him.

The country is in a very different, very optimistic place right now. Minority unemployment is at historic lows. Nobody other than democrat politicians are pining for the good old Obama Days.

How effective have Black Lives Matter or Antifa really been?

No doubt, Soris minions could whip up a few pockets of agitation, but I really don’t think all that many people are willing to burn their own communities to the ground for a president who gave them nothing.

There’s no evidence VJ speaks Farsi. She lived in an English-speaking conclave in Iran from birth to around age four when her American parents moved on to London.

Every major city would burn to the ground.

The city parts that would burn are of no use except to those setting the fires, so who cares?

Her FIL was such a serious Communist, the story was that in case of war with the Soviets, he was on the list to be arrested.

it might surprise you to know, despite all the Stefan Halper angles to Spygate, BBC basically ignores him.

BBC results search term “Stefan Halper”
https://www.bbc.co.uk/search?q=stefan+halper

this is the first result. the second is dated 2009 & the most recent in the list - apart from the following - is 2014 re Kathleen Sibelius!

read all this FAKE timeline/analysis by Georgetown Uni guy, Zurcher. it is UNBELIEVABLE from start to finish:

24 May: BBC: ‘Spygate’: The facts behind President Trump’s conspiracy
by Anthony Zurcher
President Trump calls it “Spygate” and a Deep State conspiracy against him. His critics warn it’s a distraction tactic and an effort to undermine trust in the investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russia...

Mr Halper travelled to Iowa in late August 2016 to meet with Mr Clovis, a former Republican political candidate who joined the Trump campaign as a policy adviser and television surrogate in August 2015...
Mr Halper asked for a follow-up meeting with Mr Clovis, who was the Trump campaign official who approved Mr Page’s July trip to Moscow, but none was scheduled...

Was this standard procedure?
The FBI, on its website, says that US courts have recognised that the use of informants is “lawful and often essential to the effectiveness of properly authorised law enforcement investigations”.
The bureau notes, however, that “special care is taken to carefully evaluate and closely supervise their use so the rights of individuals under investigation are not infringed”.
At this point, it does not appear as though Mr Halper did anything more than talk to a handful of individuals the FBI considered suspicious.
While Mr Halper did not disclose that he had been asked to do so by the FBI, his actions do not appear to constitute an attempt to join the Trump team and report to the government from within - or even that he accepted payment from the FBI for his services (although he had received income from the government for other work)...

“The use of informants is standard practice in any FBI investigation, and indeed in law enforcement investigations in general,” Georgetown Professor Paul Pillar told the website Politifact.
“Interviewing anyone with possibly relevant information about the suspected crime is a core part of any such investigation.”...

According to the Associated Press, the president told a friend that he wanted to make the “spy” label stick because “the more nefarious term would resonate more in the media and with the public”...

Mr Trump and his supporters now appear set on undermining the premise of Mr Mueller’s investigation.
They’ve alleged that the FBI probe was based on faulty information - the so-called Steele Dossier - that was funded in part by Democrats. They question the political affiliation of the investigators working for Mr Mueller (a lifelong Republican)...
The larger goal could be simply to undermine the authority and impartiality of those investigating him - and give his supporters enough cover to continue to stand by him through thick and thin.

Her Wikipedia entry says that as a child she spoke both French and Persian. Persian = Farsi. The entry includes a citation to an article that I have not read. So before accusing fellow Freepers of making a baseless comment, how about doing a few seconds of research?

Wikipedia is wrong, and notoriously inaccurate on anything politically connected.

This was hashed out years ago on FR. VJ’s contacts are American communist, and any Muslim connections at all seem to be Saudi.

No. That is what the Uniparty cowards fear. The Deep State would use it and escalate it.
