Saw the title. I didn’t even have to read the article to know the breed. My good friend has a pit bull when I go to his house I feel very uncomfortable with the dog. The dog is “friendly” but!!!
I wonder if the family will want to reunite with the dog?
Attacks it’s own family? Either they were abusing it, or the dog was simply mean. Pits have an earned, bad reputation nowadays. Too bad. I know some are friendly, but I personally don’t trust them.
The subject here is Pit Bulls doing what they tend to do.
I was sure the poster would be this other guy who collects ,archives and analyzes the data of numerous Pit Bull Attack stories.
If the anti-pitbull cabal at FR cared as much about the child victims of distracted driving, we’d see all the news stories about the heinous drivers who victimize others at a rate an order of magnitude greater than the pitbull.

I am going to have to look at some figures, but this sounds unusual, even for PBType dogs.
One dog attacking 4 members of its own household and damaging 3 persons this badly is extreme, even for the damages, mauling, and death to which we are becoming (too)fast accustomed.
It almost sounds like the behavior of a rabid dog.

was walking down the street a couple days ago and from behind a building came a scrawny kid and a pit bull around the corner- walking towards me- about feet away- the stinkin dog lunged at me and the kid had all he could do to hold onto the freakin thing- Had he not cinched up on the leash as soon as he saw me, the dog very likely would have gotten free and been at my throat-

There’s at least one bad mutation of American pits, and the lines must be sterilized.

I noted that the “bulldog” mix was an American bulldog rather than the familiar English bulldog.
I have only limited info on the American bulldog breed, but to me they look almost indistinguishable from pit bulls.
Can anyone enlighten me on this point?
