When I read that Israel wanted the F-35, I knew it was a good plane. They simply can’t afford to waste money.

It nowhere in the linked article says or implies that Israel was "the first country to use the US-made jet in combat." It says they were the first to use the F-35 "in the region" or "in the Middle East." In the video, MG Norkin as much as says, "...I am not sure about other areas...."
