Among more than 200 experts and veterans of Florida politics surveyed in the latest Tampa Bay Times Florida Insider Poll, nearly six in 10 this week said they expect Florida's Republican governor to unseat the three-term Democratic Senator.

This on top of his corrupt medicare fraud before he became governor. Yuck. Florida deserves better than this scumbag.

Nonsense. That was a regulatory fishing expedition, and Scott was the biggest fish.

And insurance against Impeachment.

The forced redistricting in PA and the games played in CA make the House in reach for the Dems.

We need a very strong majority in the US Senate. We also have a huge opportunity with Corker, Flake and McCain going. Some of the Rino is going out of the US Senate. Scott is no where near the political traitor those three have been.

I do see an improvement especially if Justice Kennedy retires or something happens to another Justice, do you see Nelson voting for anyone acceptable to any of us?

The choice is between Scott and Nelson.

I choose Scott.

Ads are already everywhere, loud and nasty....and it is 4 months to the primary, not the General election. Nelson is Chuck Schumer’s mini-me, time for him to go.

I doubt that Nelson is a living being, anyhow. He looks like escapes from a wax museum every morning. Maximum creep factor.

I don’t like some of what Governor Scott had done, or failed to do, but he’s clearly been the best chief executive Florida has had in my lifetime. And unlike the previous GOP Govs, Little Jebbie and Crist, Scott has been a very vocal supporter of the Trump Agenda.

Bill Nelson has been an unmitigated disaster, and is a very dependable Schumer Clown, when his vote is needed. If reelected he will oppose Trump’s SCOTUS, Federal Appeals Court, and US District Court appointees. That, in and of itself, is reason enough to vote for Gov. Scott, warts and all.

Scott has 3 votes in our household, and I will be doing everything in my power during the midterm campaign to insure that the hapless Nelson is fired by the Florida electorate......VOTE FOR SCOTT IF YOU WANT TO CONTINUE THE TRUMP AGENDA!!!!!

Here is a way to reduce any Bill Nelson supporter to silence: ask them to describe Bill Nelson’s accomplishments in three terms as a US Senator.

No he wouldn’t. On the other hand, I can’t figure out why anyone thinks Scott would be better. He’s shown us who he really is. He’s a spineless pansy, able to be pushed by the gentlest of breezes.

America may ultimately survive its enemies but it won’t survive its weak willed, spineless males.

There is great danger in allowing a creature like Scott to get away with what he’s done. If he proves he can kick the NRA like an unruly dog and not be punished for it, the gun vote’s political clout takes a major hit. The long term consequences of that are catastrophic.

The Rs aren’t losing the Senate no matter what happens with Scott vs Nelson. Few of the R incumbents are vulnerable. Many of the Ds are. Locally, McCaskill is toast, just to name one.

I am willing to sacrifice one senate seat to reestablish the political fear of God in the Republicans with respect to gun control. Don’t kid yourself. They’re not on our side either. They’d repeal the 2A in a heartbeat but they can’t afford to ignore us...unless we elect Rick Scott. Then they will have proven that they can ignore us.

Here is the sad reality - Most people, will make up their minds, about who to vote for, by what they hear in “the news.” Sadly, “the news,” you know, the part of the broadcast that the commercials pay for, is offering positive “news” from Bill Nelson, in his own words. Such is the case at our “conservative” talk Radio in Tampa Bay, WFLA 970. Scott is running some not too bad TV advertising, positioning himself as “term limits” for politicians.

Truth is, Scott still needs to make MORE NEWS, you know, that part of the broadcast not paid for by commercials, that portray him in a positive light. “News” in Florida is dominated by the Miami Herald, the St. Pete Times, and the Orlando Sentinel, all leftist mouthpieces. A good press secretary could make a difference.

“Dems want to turn us against Scott.”

Scott hasn’t needed their help for that. He’s done a fine job all on his own.

Meadow muffins.

Scott will vote for Trump’s agenda, Nelson won’t.

Pretty simple.

Kindly remind us of what this dastardly “spineless pansy” did to rip guns from the grasp of Americans.

You know this how?

You don’t.

Not that it matters. Trump is the one who ordered the ATF to ignore the English language and write a rule classifying bump stocks as MGs (which is kind of funny since the ATF doesn’t usually need prompting for that sort of thing. Sad fact is that the ATF was more on our side than Trump on this one). Maybe Scott will vote for that part of the agenda.

I am not willing to sacrifice the long term for short term gains. If you are, that’s your business.
