Gravity cares.
“Sounds like this person needs the Ninth Circus to overturn the laws of physics.”
Bwahahahaha!!! Thread over.
“... my Woman of Size podcast about the discrimination against fat womens bodies..”
Something tells me she was out looking for victimization.
“Here is a video of this Plus Size shopping.”
I wasted 4 minutes of my life watching that. I love how she is incredulous that the size 2X was cut small. Maybe because you aren’t a 2X, darlin.....
Its a safety issue you moron...
It’s all about the engineering. Universal spent millions on this ride. The engineers designed it to Universal’s specs. Those specifications most likely described the intended customers.
It’s like if you’re designing a container to carry eggs and someone wants to put one large avocado in with 11 eggs. The container wasn’t designed for the avocado and to put the avocado in would endanger the eggs.
The woman should stop eating sugar, bread, and carbs. Let the ride be a motivation to lose her enormity.
That’s hilarious!
I suppose this woman also wants ride operators to remove the "YOU MUST BE THIS TALL TO RIDE THIS RIDE" restrictions too? Otherwise SHE is being discriminatory towards the segment of the population that is "Vertically Challenged" -- like little kids, midgets, babes-in-arms, etc. Clearly the ride companies need to include properly sized SMALL seats on these rides so that little kids, etc. don't feel excluded.
Oh yeah. And lets not forget the increase in liability insurance cost for accommodating people who can't safely handle the ride... that will get passed along as an increase in the ride fee, so the rest of us can pay for it.
Sheesh.
Maybe they should have a special car for really big people, and another special car for really little people. Yeah, that's the ticket...
The cultural destruction of America is nearly complete.
This picture represents the complete opposite of dignity and self-control.
A few years ago a very large woman came out of her seat on the Texas giant at six flags over Texas. I talked to one of the fire fighters that responded. Says this lady bounced off all the wooden supports all the way down like a giant pachinko machine. You can imagine how horrific the damage was. The simple fact is that large amounts of fat compress and squeeze, making it impossible for a restraint system to adequately protect anyone.
No kidding, it must have taken weeks to get the ride fixed.
It's not discrimination when you're several standard deviations from the norm. One does not build businesses to serve outlier populations.
Maybe she can get Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to join her in complaining that the ride is too small.

I think it’s only reasonable for Disney to retool all its rides, at vast expense, to accommodate this person’s needs.

The one nobody wants?
I think they should have offered to tie her in with rope designed for mooring ships of war.
It’s not that she couldn’t fit, it’s because the rollercoaster couldn’t make it up the hill.
“I wasted 4 minutes of my life watching that.”
I couldn’t even watch the whole thing. LOL... I cut out at about 30 seconds!
