(The above is not a statement of fact. It is either satire or opinion. Or both.)

When you’re driving down the highway at night
And you’re feelin’ that wild turkey’s bite
Don’t give Johnny Walker a ride
‘Cause Jack Black is right by your side
You might get taken to the jailhouse and find
You’ve been arrested for driving while blind
(Oh, that kind of Wild Turkey.)

The turkeys must be real active right now; I saw a big one just the other day in the same general area.
Lucky the driver didn’t run into another car.

It’s wild turkey breeding time here in N. Idaho. They’re gobbling non-stop during the day. My Great Pyrenees cross won’t let them hang around the yard though.

Wild turkey smashes vehicle's windshield I feel for them, you wouldn't believe the messes Jose Cuervo made in my apartment back in my early 20's.

Wild turkey smashes vehicle's windshield; two women hospitalized, man hurt. And that is exactly why I have netting on the inside of my windshield. You just never know.

Have turkeys on my land in Salado, Texas which is North of Austin about 50 miles. I much enjoy their presence. The coveys march across my land like an army eating bugs. During hunting season we take 2 or 3. We strictly abide by the Texas Game and Wildlife rules. They taste absolutely delicious and have no resemblance to a farm raised turkey when it comes to taste.
It does not get any better than a wild turkey stew. A little salt and pepper, coumino, and the pepper of your choice and it is perfect. I prefer just a bit of jalapeno and a lot of mild Hatch green chilies.

They are all over here on the San Francisco Peninsula and the entire Bay Area. Populations have exploded in the past few years. The toms are wearing their breeding colors on now and are strutting their stuff.

Twice a year they roll up my lawn looking for grubs.
I just roll it back, like carpet and no problem.
They are beautiful
