Many of the things that we have and enjoy today were collective in nature...in that no one person actually brought the object, etc out of their head, made it and marketed it for all to use...with the exception of Edison and Westinghouse and a few others.
A good example of contributions is the black guy that "invented the Table Lamp".
Actually, he took Edison's light bulb, put it on a 4-foot post, added a shade...and voila!...a lamp!
A good thing, certainly, but HE did not invent the bulb that powered the lamp, for sure.
There are many, many other examples which show me that history has been picked and selectively chosen.
We all know why.
And it's a shame, because any accomplishments as a whole from the black community are cheapened by embellishing the truth...literally attempting to shine it with bullsh*t.
Bullsh*t doesn't make anything shine.
I went to the snopes site you linked to. Utter BS the story about life without black folks. I guess by there logic Europe is an enigma. At least snopes listed it as both true and false information.
