Because he is probably schizophrenic and following his "voice." I know a family of them, known them for ̀50+ years, nine siblings now the oldest is 73. Of the nine 5 are schizo, I guess one is supposed to call them "bi-polar" now but schizophrenic and paranoid schizophrenic are more precise. One of the brothers talks to his other in front of whoever. He is the one that I think is actually dangerous. His voice impels him to acts of petty vandalism and the family vehicles and houses all have dents and gouges and once a broken window.

There have been many coming in with symptoms of schizophrenia and once they are drug tested it is found that their illegal drugs are causing the symptoms.
