There have been many coming in with symptoms of schizophrenia and once they are drug tested it is found that their illegal drugs are causing the symptoms.
With my friends that is not the case though one of them tries to escape it with heavy marijuana use. It makes him worse but he thinks he is getting a handle on it thereby. One sister knows her condition. She can sort of stand outside it and knows what is happening but she cannot actually control it. She is a recluse and a sane sister and I are the only ones she can talk to at all. Four others of them live in two next door trailers. One is the only sane one and takes care of the other three. The sane one just turned up with a clot in his leg and will probably lose it and has just been diagnosed with a host of medical issues. He hadn’t seen a doctor since he left school to work in 7th grade, Now he is on Medicare and finding out why he is always tired. I have known these guys for over half a century since they were kids and only their parents were crazy. Once most of them were smart and I thought they would do well. They call it the Family Demons.
