Georgia was the penal colony of the British. The remainder of the colonies were settled by those fleeing religious persecution, those seeking to establish a business or new life, and those who became indentured servants to pay their passage. Along with this came those who were sent here as slaves.

Once our revolution occurred, the prisoners were sent to Australia. Ever heard of Botany Bay, the first Australian penal colony establish in 1788?

There was discussion of the initials AS in a drop that stated Valarie Jarret spent 43 minutes on a call with AS, which the aggregators annotated as ‘Andrew Schiff’. FReeQs were divided between Anton Scalia and Adam Schiff.

Q said the call utilized various forms of anti-tracking, but it was listened in to. Q also stated ‘Article 3 Section 3’. My error (I just realized) was to conflate that w/the subject of the call. I now think Q was characterizing the nature of the conversation as a whole, not describing the substance/content.

I then did a search for ‘Andrew Schiff’. There not only is such a person, he is an MD and an investment banker/venture capitalist, a member of the prominent Schiff banking family which is included in the article that has been linked here about the 13 bloodlines. He was previously married to Gore’s daughter. (note: Gore has made the drops lately)

So: I suggested we accept the aggregator interpretation of ‘AS’ as Andrew Schiff and go from there: why would he and ValJar talk so long and (since I was wrong on the subject, which is still unknown)think about why they would speaking so long and why Q then mentions Art. 3 Sec 3.

Whew.

I’m in and out here, between work, chores and sleep. Still way behind.

I didn’t take the Q-drop as defining the subject of the 45 minute discussion, beyond that the subject was essentially treasonous. 2 witnesses to the call (this is relevant for a charge of treason).

Assuming Benedict Arnold had a 45 minute discussion with some British general does not mean the 45 minutes were spent on the definition of treason or the establishment of a judiciary system.

Who might VJ speak with, where the subject was subverting US? Likely not Scalia. Possibly Adam Schiff, possibly Andrew Schiff.
________________

Yes. See my reply to hoosiermama. I was mistaken that they discussed Art 3 Sec 3 and agree Q said it was a witnessed act pertinent to Art 3 Sec 3.

However, do take a look at Andrew Schiff. If the aggregators have it right, he is very interesting and more so than Schiffty Eyes.

Very tired and another heavy day tomorrow. Apologies for errors to all.

You actually ARE a tech person.. you just were not at the crossroads that would have necessitated you learn this new language.

Maybe. Will think about that some.

The quest for AI is something the Godless endeavor after: they have no God in themselves, and are hungry for it in a ‘Contact’ kinda way. They need Universal Validation, looking for a maybe less strict God through Science.

That makes sense.

They also want a biddable god, a Controller they control who does not exact the same debt Satan does.

AI is just sophisticated management. It’s a way to leverage predictive data over others. It’s not going to pursue objectives to satisfy its wants and desires.

Artificial or human created sentience, now that will will be a whole different ball game. There will be an enormous responsibility there that needs to treated with extreme respect and caution. If it arises from the complexity of something we’ve created it’s going to have to be accepted that God has considered it worthy of a soul in the form of his breath and that it is worthy of equal standing.

Something like that could be a test of us also, one that I could see many easily failing. A million questions. I think actual sentience will pretty much destroy any “implacable calculating machine” aspect expected from the AI aspects that it could arise from. Sentience will immediately be subject to all the fallibility inherent in the human condition and us being human we’ll probably be inclined to be douchebags to it...

Agree.

He’s doing well on 1,2,3,4,6,7 and is not quite 1/2 way thru 1st term.

Midterms will define it all.

I stand by my estimate of timing, though, based on above: success on 1 thru 4, 6&7.

In adhering to their (the states) enemies ......
Oath is defending against enemies both foreign and DOMESTIC

treason, sedition, etc can be charged against those guilty of aiding domestic enemies of the states?......

Just throwing this out, we have been restricting ourselves to foreign enemies,

Do you want to play a game?

You understand, the moment I start earning dinero I would expect to hear from the lawyers of the Tolkien estate. As someone mentioned here recently, the Brits vigorously defend their copyrights, and the Tolkien folks especially.

Hi Bob, The Tolkien copyright is for the body of the work..that is you can't take a chunk of text and include it as your own work.

What you can do is take a piece of text, highlighted in italics, and use a footnote such as "1, Text copyright by Tolkien and successors"

If they are invented words....then did they trademark/copyright the word? If not I don't see why you can't use it.

Could AS be Arnold Schwarzenegger? This seems to be about the overlap between politics and Hollywood.

” All the stuff they have to do “ is not the excuse that DOJ is giving. I know one thing... the “showmanship” better get tough if there is a prayer for R’s to win the MidTerms. The R’s do not want a win. After all, it keeps Trump in office.

America has about 28 weeks to drain that Swamp.

Good point. That would in effect give one the ability to watch the watchers, and as Q has stated many times, "we see everything". It seems to fit.

"OK people, does anybody read my posts?"

~~~~~~~~~~
I, for one, do read your posts! [But, of course, I'm a fellow Texan...] '-)
If you go "outside: this congenial" FReeQ" community into the rest of FR, you'll see us being called a "cult" or worse -- and the entire concept of "Q" being treated with open disdain.
And, quite a few "FReeper" trolls have come here -- pushing such attitudes.
Such treatment has, of necessity fostered a bit of a "bunker mentality" here.
Hence, newcomers are expected to exhibit open-mindedness and a willingness to dig and find answers for themselves. (Because that is the base nature of our mission!)
It's amazing how often FReepers come here and demand answers, and -- when given the means to find the answers -- simply refuse to exert that minimal effort. Such lazy posers don't fare well here!
~~~~~~ Re your other subject: ~~~~~~~

In the 1950s -- when I was a teenager in Pasadena, TX -- a writer in the Houston Post (?Mewhinney?) ran a couple of articles about a 17 year old Houston boy who had invented a method of coupling music directly into the auditory system -- without using speakers.

He had a pair of vertical metal plates arranged such that, if you stood between them you could hear full-spectrum orchestral music. Anywhere else in the room, there was total silence.

Not long afterward "the government" visited the boy and offered to buy his invention. The writer was told that it was a "trick" and that he had been "hoaxed" -- and was "strongly advised" to not write about the subject again.

That was the last I ever heard of the invention. Or that young man -- except that he was reportedly "drafted" into the army as soon as he reached the age of 18...

I found the invention to be quite intriguing -- but, I must admit that my attitude toward "the government" has changed a bit since then... :-|

How are they mutually exclusive?

The founders were well-educated members of the upper middle classes. I haven’t studied this in depth, but peasants did not read or write, let alone study philosophy.

Religion of the Pilgrims? Christian.
State religion of England? Christian
Christianity was the majority religion in Europe by the 13th century, maybe earlier. Others have this history better than I.

Yes, some were imprisoned unjustly. Poverty was rife and stealing anything, even food by the starving, was cause for prison. IIRC, there were strict blasphemy laws. People jailed for speaking against the monarchy or the church.

Some prisoners were actual criminals. There was a huge underclass and it had its own rules and there were gangs. Humans organize on all sides of the moral divide.

Some were pioneers. Some slid into the urban American cultures and remained con men or card sharps or thieves or pimps. Some deportees may even have been set up to cheat them out of inheritance. Some may have been sent to America because they were embarrassments to families of the lower nobility.

The American culture was one of entrepreneurship. By whatever means, it was possible to rise in America regardless of birth status. Limited central government, strong local government (election of sheriffs),expanded franchise (still only free male property owners, though), the concept of self-government, meaning not by the Crown, were the essence of American culture.

American history not a strong suit for me, but 100 years ago all my grandparents escaped poverty and prejudice to come here. Today, their descendants are all Americans by birth and culture.

But we had criminals. We had atheists. We had shady practices of all sorts. We do ourselves no favor by romanticizing history. The pioneers opened wildlands to commercial exploitation and they were *allowed* to do so. Many of the earliest benefited. Many failed. Many were closely followed by the robber barons of their day (see the building of the railroads).

Human nature doesn’t really change.
