What a complete lack of a soul. This is a creature created by G-d, and to profane His creation in such a cruel manner speaks of a serious lack of compassion and humanity. Catch the perp, do the same to them. See how THEY like it.

Could it be accidental?
Gopher tortoises are a protected species. Central Florida was rife with them into the70s. Hardly ever see them now.

If that turtle was someone from the US Senate, I wouldn’t care. But this guy didn’t deserve this.

If they do this to animals, one can imagine what they’d do to humans.

I saw this on the news last night. My first thought was it was accidental. Sh*t happens... red paint, cement, sounds like it crawled through something and got spilled on.

Just to show how decent people can be to wildlife, several months ago I saw a box turtle trying to cross a heavily traveled two lane road I was driving along, stopped to allow it to cross and all the driver in the oncoming lane did the same. It made the crossing successfully.

stopped to allow it to cross and all the driver in the oncoming lane did the same. I've seen the same thing with geese and ducks.
I have no problem with people killing ducks, geese, and turtles and eating them. Gratuitous cruelty is another matter entirely.

Kinda wondering if Kim Titterington, who runs Swamp Girl Adventures....didn't do this for her own gain.
