Hey Starbucks: How’d that apology work out?

Have you seen this picture of the protesters trespassing in Starbucks?

I told you yesterday, in the Church of Social Justice there is no such thing as forgiveness.

When will virtue-signaling CEOs get the message?

Caving to these outrage junkies and apologizing does nothing.

Well, that’s not entirely true.

It does do one thing.

Apologizing lets them know they can walk all over you.

You officially become their bitch.

As David Cole at Taki’s Magazine put it after Laura Ingraham apologized to the Camera Hogg:

Apologize to a leftist for hurty words and before you know it you’ll find yourself bent over with a sock stuffed in your mouth.

Outrage junkies are like every other tyrant in the world.

If you appease them, they won’t go away. Appeasement feeds the beast. Because outrage junkies can never be sated.

And they won’t stop making demands until you are completely destroyed.

You’d think Starbucks would know that. After all, they’re Social Justice Warriors.

But then again, that may be precisely why Starbucks’ CEO thought issuing an apology would keep the outrage junkies at bay.

”Hey! I'm one of you! Call off your dogs!!”

That’s a rookie mistake.

And now he’s learning the hard way that these outrage junkies are more than willing to devour one of the own just to get a fix.

I saw this really good column by John Daniel Davidson over at the Federalist this morning titled Blame the Left for the Rise of Moralizing in America.

It’s an excellent read and well worth your time.

Here’s a taste:

Dean Acheson, who orchestrated the Marshall Plan and helped create the North Atlantic Treaty Organizaation [sic], had no use for moralizing in foreign policy. He once said that listening to pious Canadians discuss foreign affairs was like listening to the “stern daughter of the voice of God.”

His point was that there’s a big difference between being moral and moralizing. Being moral is about changing the way you act and actually helping others. It requires humility and tolerance because it arises from an awareness of one’s own moral failings.

Moralizing, by contrast, is about changing the way other people act—by force if necessary. Moralizing breeds intolerance and even tyranny because it springs from a belief that, like the pious Canadians, not only do you know the truth but you also have a solemn duty to impose it on others.

And this is exactly what the CEO from Starbucks failed to comprehend.

It isn’t enough for these guys to simply boycott Starbucks and stay away. Because it isn’t about their personal behavior at all. It’s about forcing everyone else to live by their rules.

Which is why these outrage junkies never take “I’m sorry” for an answer.

They have to shame you, berate you and make an example of you.

Like the Puritans forcing someone into the stocks in the town square, these outrage junkies want Starbucks publicly humiliated.

In his column, Davidson describes “progressivism” as “hubris and conceit mixed with a tyrannical impulse.”

They alone are righteous.

And in their quest to compel the rest of us to fall in line, nothing is off the table.

Worse still – as Starbucks is learning — no apology will ever get you off the hook.

The biggest mental disturbance today is the idea that it is possible to create an artificial group, to artificially place people in the group based on some non-essential characteristic, and to then declare that any ONE member of the group is exactly equivalent to any other member of the group, and shares guilt and/or privileges.
Look at the WHITE guy behind the counter, Zack. He actually works for a living. Look at the paid protester with the bullhorn who is directing his attack at Zack. Plus, look at the two hystericals near him who are looking at Zack.
Zack is now Every White Man. They are putting the entire burden of their opprobium on Zack. They expect Zack to take the guilt for slavery and all the other evils in the world.
Zack is the only decent person in the picture. The other employees are happy to let all the $hit fall on Zack, and to stay safely far away.
My bet is Zack will not get a commendation for his coolness in the face of racial hatred.
Who is the person filming this? Actually, there are two. One is right over the bullhorn. So this encounter is a symbol of the entire situation, and Zack is a symbol of all Whites, and the guy with the bullhorn is the symbol of all the aggrieved Blacks since the beginning of the Earth.
I’d like to go on a rant about hashtags, but I’ll pass for now.

1. SJWs Always Lie.
2. SJWs Always Double-Down.
3. SJWs Always Project.

The WORST thing you can do, when faced by SJWs, is back down or apologize.

I'm old enough (74) to remember when all the racists lived only in Alabama.

I'm just laughing.

I see no reason why any white person would want to work at Starbucks, knowing that if you so much as look at a nonwhite individual the wrong way, there’s going to be hell to pay.

Starbucks needs to open MORE stores in minority neighborhoods - AND pass out bathroom codes to all black homeless people within six miles of any store.

That's a start.

Then for 'reparations' Starbucks should give free coffee to members of ALL democrat victim groups. It's NOT just blacks who have been insulted - it's ALL liberal victim groups who were hurt - - by proxy.

'Nasty women' need free coffee too... and illegals... and gays and transgenders. Black street people aren't the ONLY victims in the social justice movement... All VICTIMS ARE EQUAL.

Hell, let's make it easy for Starbucks - EVERYONE EXCEPT WHITE MEN GET EVERYTHING FREE.

Lunatic left eating the lunatic left. They don’t want no stinkin’ apology. Money however is a different story!
