There is another side to that argument. When the Never-Trumpers constantly hammer him, you get to the point that you must believe in YOUR decision to support him, regardless of what they muckrake about him.

My point is that he is doing a good job, and I refuse to let them derail his progress.

I don’t care, for example about Stormy Daniels, or any other tryst (real or imagined) as long as he does his job. That is his wifes job, not mine. Others can rationalize this, comparing it to Bill Clinton, and I still don’t care.

Until he no longer does his job, and stops Making America Great Again. I don’t care.

“Computer and video games allow kids to pretend that they’re skilled marksmen, fighters, athletes, outdoorsmen, etc all without having to acquire any of the skills necessary to be any of those things.”

Absolutely correct. I’ve seen it. When I took my sons to Disney many, many years ago, we went through a Buzz Lightyear ride where we shot light pistols at real targets while riding through. They always made fun of me for not being good at video games.

When we exited the tunnel, they were shouting, “I got 12,000! I got 9,000! How much did YOU get, Dad?” I calmly replied, “32,000”. That was a VALUABLE lesson for them. We had a “real” gun, not a controller.

They are excellent marksmen today, by the way...

I would like to see the author make a slimmed down version of this; one that uses less than 900 words.

A little learning is a dangerous thing.
Drink deep, or taste not the Pierian spring.
There, shallow draughts intoxicate the brain,
And drinking largely sobers us again.

A friend of mine tried to introduce his nephew (mid or late teens) to hunting. The kid’s response was to say “I already go hunting all the time” - on his play station, of course. Many of that generation seem to prefer a simulacrum to reality in every aspect of life.

I don't care about Stormy Daniels either, other people's personal lives generally don't concern me (and actually, Clinton's sleazy affair with Monica Lewinsky was the very least of my problems with him).

What I was talking about is refusal to criticize the President when he takes the correct position on an issue initially but then backtracks to an establishment position. For instance, he offered the Democrats too much on DACA (extending it to 1.8 million anchor babies rather than the original 600K - it didn't pass, but he was still willing to offer them too much in exchange for border wall funding), and he recently signed a spending bill that gave the Democrats almost everything they wanted vs. next to nothing for border security.

Of course, we only know what is reported.

If you do a bit of study on the omnibus package and what he can do with it, you will quickly realize that he got EVERYTHING for border security, and can, and probably will utilize the ACE (army corp of engineers) as well..but, JMO
