If California state law enforcement attempts to take county and local officials into custody over violating the state's unconstitutional actions, state law enforcement can expect to be challenged by federal marshals backing county and local officials. This may lead to firefights, but if that happens, California will finally have its Fort Sumter moment.
There are precedents left over from the Civil War that could turn California into a "military district" ruled by the Army. The state would lose its congressional delegation and its ability to participate in federal elections. It would then have to apply for readmission to the Union by writing a new state constitution acceptable to Congress.
