I read somewhere awhile back that the Chinese mafia would give you a black eye as a warning if you failed to do as told or something like that. The black eye was a warning. Then, if you still failed/crossed them, they would remove the eye. (Harry Reid?)

I think it was always the left eye. Notice in those picture it’s the (almost always) left eye? What are the odds of that? If these were random accidents, shouldn’t half of them be the right eye?

Not unusual because most people are right handed.

.5 x .5 x .5 x.5 = 0.0625

That assumes independent events that really occur half the time (.5)

However, about 90% of people are right handed so the probability of a left black eye is much higher than .5

Most people, 188% I think, are right handed.
