My father was captured at the Battle of the Bulge (more correctly, the Battle of St. Vith) as a 19 year-old. Spent the next five months in Stalag 4B. So, you are preaching to the choir.

My father paid a tremendous mental price for his captivity. It was long before we identified PTSD. I'm thankful he lived until he was 65. Winner of the Purple Heart, he died in 1990.
