Great. Now that we know what genes cause this aberration, we can alter or remove them and cure transgenderism. Isn’t science great?
To: EdnaMode
If we have these “20 genes,” why hasn’t transgenderism been more pronounced until recently?
20 genes or 200 genes, you have XX or XY DNA and there’s no changing it.
FAKE SCIENCE.
I’m surprised it took so long for the ‘scientists’ to ‘discover’ these genes.
Are there queer genes as well? If there are pity to the person who has transgender genes and queer genes :)

"Yup, the "science" is "settled" on this issue . . . "
All they need to do is get one highly speculative study like this out in the media, and it will be endlessly cited as "proof" that transgenderism is genetically based. Meanwhile, they will be proclaiming that gender is "fluid" and can change from week to week.

Because the parents may want to abort...like with Down’s Syndrome, which the left doesn’t have a problem with those abortions?

Yeah, using words like “believe” and “may” are a solid basis for a scientific declaration. /s

“Genes” are sexist. How about the “Jeannes?”
To: EdnaMode
I’m not sure I understand why a genetic link would make transgenderism acceptable. There are all sorts of genetic links to severe and fatal medical conditions. Are we saying now that a genetic link to say, breast cancer is something to celebrate? Of course not. Just because an abnormality has a genetic component does not mean it is something to simply accept.

This is the Holy Grail of the Homosexual movement. To show that homosexuality is not a dangerous and immoral lifestyle choice, but as ingrained as the color of your skin.
They want it to be a civil rights issue, and have since they came out of the closet.
THAT is their Holy Grail. Don’t believe it for one second.

Or homosexuality. If these were readily identified, trannys and gays would become the biggest pro-life advocates around.

Wasn’t there the same kind of BS to try and prove that homosexuality was genetic, and didn’t that........excuse me, get blown?

1. Scientists/philosophers once believe the World was flat;
2. Scientists/philosophers once believed the Sun revolved around the Earth.
3. Scientists claimed new Ice Age coming, which didn't happen;
4. Scientists claimed Ozone Depletion is going to kill life on Earth, which didn't happen;
5. Scientists claimed Population Explosion is going to kill much of humanity through hunger, which didn't happen;
6. Scientists claimed Alcar on our apples is going to kill millions, which didn't happen;
7. Scientists claimed nurture not nature is what makes the difference between boys and girls, which every parent new wrong. Clinical experiments with children also showed wrong;
8. Scientists claim the food pyramid to be correct, which they now have inverted somewhat;
9. Scientists claimed any red meat will kill 10's of millions of Americans, which was somewhat wrong;
10. Scientists claimed alcohol in any quantity is a toxic substance, but now claim it's beneficial in moderation;
11. Scientists claimed any fat would clog our arteries, then said only saturated fats. Now they say triglycerides;
12. Self-proclaimed science guru, Al Gore and his Scientist buddies, claimed 12? years ago the arctic ice would be gone by this writing. It has increased;
13. Scientists believed that "String Theory" would prove Einstein's general Theory of Relativity, which turned out to be just math equations on a white board and now is all but dead;
14. Scientists claimed the Moon was created by an asteroid or small planet crashing into Earth. Now they claim it was created by meteors, asteroids, and other space debris coalescing around Earth's gravity field.
I know I'm missing hundreds of Scientific theory that was proven wrong or is highly questionable. So why should I believe this new theory about genes? People, even Scientists, lose sight that a theory is just that - a theory and not an empirical fact. Still, scientists need their grants.

"So its a physiological defect that leads to psychological problems."
There's a lot of new advancements in gene therapy. There may be a cure forthcoming for these people if this research is correct.
Wait, what am I thinking? They wouldn't want such a treatment because they revel in their special protected status. Stupid me.

“20 Fake genes ?”
Sadly, with the $$ incentives and all the fake climate change data, it’s hard to trust scientific findings anymore. Seems politics have a lot to do with science.
