Scientists have uncovered 20 genes linked to being transgender – supporting claims that the condition has a physical basis.
Researchers believe the gene variations may contribute to people identifying with the opposite sex.
Critics of transgender identity say the condition is ‘all in the mind’, and transgender people have a psychological problem rather than a medical one. But by highlighting genetic mutations that affect brain development, the latest findings point towards transgender identity having a physical basis.

I predicted that there would be a scramble to find some “scientific” basis for transgenderism. The science needed to catch up with the policy. I suspect this is junk science.

Gee, I wonder if unborn babies are unborn babies and not just a pile of cells. Here in Cleveland, over 2000 so-called embryos have been damaged by faulty machines. I’m still waiting for the media to describe these “embryos” as human beings, and then to tell us what they’re going to do with these dead humans. Anyone wanna’ bet?

the presence of a gene or two pales in comparison to not accepting who one is... i can be a person who likes to arrange flowers but has a penis, a person that loves to field dress a deer, and where a dress. the problem i see is the mental dysfunction of not being happing with what one is born with and the need to change with a heavy regiment of drugs.

A good indicator is to ask, “Does the ‘research’ support progressives?”
If “yes”, then by definition it will be junk science.

Some "Scientists" will publish reports saying whatever their sponsors want to have said.

So technically they are sick. It is a genetic disease. Can we do prenatal testing of the parents to see if they carry the genetic abnormalities? If so we could eradicate the condition through genetic counseling. Or maybe we could do in vitro testing and if the genetic deformity is found we could just abort the child like many on the Left think we should do with Downs Syndrome babies?
We've heard similar crap about a "gay" gene, and of course they refrain from telling people that the chief researcher looking for this "gay" gene is a homosexual who desperately wants to prove that there is a scientific basis for his abnormality.
I should not be surprised to discover that the people claiming to find these "transgender" genes were in fact intently looking for any evidence that they could twist into supporting this claim.
They do the same thing with History, declaring all sorts of famous people were "gay". They are desperately seeking anything that could be used to argue that they are normal.

The DNA test involved people in treatment at transgender clinics.
You’d have to test normal folks to see whether or not they have the same gene expression.
No confirmation bias there, then.

1.7% of all people born have some form of both male and female genitalia. These are your typical effeminate males and bull dyke females. Anyone else that claims to be homosexual have some form of psychosis.
