A Portland woman ignited a social media fire this week over a confrontation with a restaurant diner she says was wearing a shirt with a Nazi symbol.
As Raw Story first reported, on March 13, Deavon Snoke was dining at Kachka—a Russian restaurant owned by Bonnie Frumkin Morales, who is Jewish and whose family fled the Holocaust, and her husband Israel Morales, who is Mexican—when she spotted a man sporting a "Luftwaffe" t-shirt.
“I was asked to leave Kachka tonight for calling this Nazi out,” Snoke wrote on Facebook. “Remember his face. Memorize the symbolism on his shirt. Yell as loud as you can.”
The post has been shared more than 500 times, with comments such as “I don’t think I could even hurt my fist punching this Nazi.”

The Luftwaffe is the German Air Force. It’s in operation right now and employs zero Nazis.
A proud and honorable organization as far as I know.
I’m at a loss, these people should be arrested for assault maybe? The current air force is the Luftwaffe. I’m not current on symbols but is this guy a neo-Nazi or just in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Well, today’s air arm of Germany’s Bundeswehr is still called the Luftwaffe. Don’t know if they still use that eagle on their uniforms, but that shirt doesn’t carry a swastika. So if there’s a problem, I’m not seen g it.
You don’t get to harass paying customers and disrupt the business just your self-reighteousness knows no bounds.
I wonder if this is the same dimwit who mistook the Swedish flag for a Confederate flag.

His image looks strangely flat. It looks like a young woman talking to a cardboard poster cut out.
That aside, I think she sounded the alarm too quickly.
She should have mentioned her concerns to the manager and either left or put some space in between.
Some people do wear clothing with poor taste in images.
In my area of Northern Ca. Many young hispanic people can be seen wearing t-shirts with Che Guevara’s image on it.
He was a violent terrorist. But they either don’t know that or don’t care. I’m not about to start getting into fights trying to ‘educate’ people everytime I see somebody wearing that shirt. Sometimes the dumb must stay dumb for the time being.
My money says the chick was just doing a dine and dash. Note to bimbo: when the Nazis were in charge a swastika was suspended beneath the eagle, hanging by his talons.
Not that this ridiculous episode has anything to do with it, but I didn’t realize supporting Nazism is Illegal in America.

Hardly a secret. Last time I drove through Alamogordo, half the billboards were in German.
History is full of misappropriated symbols, such as the Celtic cross.
That shirt contains the logo the Luftwaffe last used circa May, 1945. This isn’t about the current German Air Force.
Not with that logo it doesn’t. That’s Herman Goering’s Luftwaffe.
