Enormous Euphrates was bred to replicate a prehistoric canine species and eats an impressive eight cups of dog food a day.

Owner Jared Howser, 41, of Salt Lake City, Utah, said onlookers often confuse his puppy for a fully-grown adult.

He said: 'At nine months there simply isn't another dog 180lbs and 31.5 inches to withers anywhere else in the world, she is an anomaly.

sometimes the bigger the critter the more docile they can be...

I have been bitten by more ankle biting dogs than big lumbering lumoxes.

That’s fine until he eats the owner, or worse, somebody else.

Met a rancher with a Great Dane named D-9... The top of his head came to the top of the window of the Ford Taurus I was driving at the time. Friendly as all get out.

Eight cups of food isn’t bad. I had a 90 lb. dog that ate twice that or more.

So is this one of those big breeds that lives to be about 6 or so?

My Cane Corso was 170 at 6 months. Not as tall though. He’s pushing over 200lbs now. He’s my big boy and his tail was faster than a cocker spaniel.

And he does the Greatest Dog Trick in the World!

He eats 8 cups of food a day, and produces 32 cups of poop a day.

Same with horses, for some reason. The bigger and clunkier the horse, the more docile it is.

The Irish Wolfhound, at 7 ft., is currently the tallest breed though not the heaviest.

The Mastiff type breeds tend to be droolers. Nice dogs but lots of slobbering.

A friend of mine who trained dogs for a living said the most unpredictable dogs in a training situation are Cocker Spaniels.

This big pup won’t have many other animals to play with unless the owner decides to find them.
