The man who claimed to have cremated Natalee Holloways remains was stabbed to death in western Florida.
John Christopher Ludwick died Wednesday morning at a Sarasota County hospital after being knifed by a woman he knew, North Port police said in a Facebook post.
The 32-year-old victim was trying to kidnap the woman as she got out of her car, cops said.
Ludwick was stabbed during the ensuing scuffle and fled the womans driveway.

He “remains fatally stabbed?”
I hope it hurt a lot.
Still stabbed, is he? Moved from stabbed status to dead. :D
What goes around, comes around. Seems like this “charming” fellow met an appropriate end.
“The 32-year-old victim was trying to kidnap the woman as she got out of her car, cops said.”
How is he a victim? I can only imagine how this article would have been written if the real victim had shot this scum bag.
Wait, a woman defended herself against this guy who was trying to kidnap her, and the guy is the "victim"?
Justice delayed was not justice undeserved in this case.
What was the S..tbag doing in the US anyway??
Makes one wonder where the woman kept the knife and how she got to use it. Hommmmmmmmm?
I hope he’s burning in hell.
Confusing writing. He was a victim? No, sounds like she was the victim who defended herself from kidnapping. In Texas we call her anti-wimp.
That means he is not a victim. He was a criminal.
"News" reporters may actually be getting stupider by the minute.
But she had a fully automatic assault knife that could stab multiple times.
Police say, it occurred at the 4300 block of Wesley Lane, on Wednesday, March 14.
Police say Ludwick and the young woman were familiar with each other.
North Port Police is still investigating and won’t release the female’s name at this time.
Were his last words ‘Et tu, Brute’?
Beware the ides of March!
Ludwick left, with Van dear Sloot inset, Holloway right.
Or, in his case, Ides of March Eve.
Yo be expected. Hard to turn the clock back on fatally stabbed.
Victim? Seriously?
