Yeah, well if the Yellowstone caldera goes that would be waaaaay beyond anything humans have ever experienced, a whole different kind of catastrophe. It could go anytime but it might not go for thousands of years yet. Let’s hope.....

Lots of new rich volcanic soil for your garden.

Ring of fire right now seems to be cooking pretty intensely.

Lots of activity in Asia and Central and South America.

Nothing on the North American coast since St. Helens.

What are you supposed to do?

Well, duh! Didn’t you read the article? We are unprepared. Therefore, I recommend you prepare.

Do I have to do EVERYTHING for you? Sheesh!

News Flash to volcanologists: Given the magnitude of those past eruptions (or future ones of that magnitude and higher), there is NO preparing.......

Nuclear power plants powering indoor greenhouses and a lot of them, that’s about the only thing you could do to prepare for a major blow. Going to be considerably cooler with dim sunlight for years and years. Gorgeous sunsets or so I’ve read, though, so if you’re far enough away to survive, are able to keep warm and eat, at least there’s that.

Any large caldera volcano could potentially liquidate everyone on the planet depending on the types of gases released and in what quantity.

There should be studies on the make up of the gases in each Caldera.

look again. Southern California has been showing a ton of very small quakes for the last three years now. Which is the best type of slip for those that live here.

Northern California / Oregon out at sea that has been way to quite and highly dangerous considering one of the largest volcano's in the world is under water there.

That’s why I moved from Los Angeles to New Hampshire 2 years ago. The infrastructure’s so antiquated out there they’ll never recover from a major one.

John Belusi made the observation on how to watch out for future natural eruptions by knowing what a “ZIT” looked like before it erupted.

FOOD FIGHTT!

Well, I don't know about you but I am lying in an emergency supply of chocolate.

Then when the super volcano blows I will eat chocolate until I go into a coma and will never feel the hot lava as it creeps over my prone body.

Such world-altering blasts rank at 7 or more on the Volcanic Explosivity Index (VEI) scale of eruptions, which goes to 8.

Dear Witze,
the VEI goes to 10 ...

Tax industry and redistribute it (via Al Gore’s money handlers) to third world dictatorships.
