This article is utter drek written by a moron who thinks fashion is a way to oppress the black woman.
That beast doesn't have a pony tail..a hippo, rhino, elephant, T-Rex tail perhaps...but not a pony tail.
She is butt ugly inside and out.
LOL!
Christian Century? More like Barfly Decade.
God, that repulsive wretch isn’t even in the White House anymore and her adoring gaggle of brain-dead she-fans just can’t help spewing out puff pieces about her.
For a large homely woman, without even the gift of a sharp mind, Michelle Obama has done exceedingly well in life - and she basically lucked into it all.
She was lucky enough to be born into a time of heavy-handed affirmative action promotion of marginally qualified blacks. That got her into the Ivy Leagues and subsequent cushy employment.
And she was even luckier to be selected as the “beard” for an extremely ambitious gay/bisexual man (who became the biggest ever recipient of affirmative action promotion). That got her into the White House and a subsequent $ 100 million net worth.
I don’t know how you could read this long mindless screed without coming to the conclusion that these people are hopelessly broken.
60s hippie-pseudo-poetic psychobabble can be utterly meaningless. This article opens up the plaintive soul of what must be a chronic whiner, without a shred of redeeming value.
Pony-Tail, that’s cultural appropriation!
Well, I’d say *off but it would upset the proprietor of FR. That’s how I feel about every single whiny screed and rant anymore.
I personally don’t give a rat’s anymore.
And I’m not the only one.
You can dress a mookabooking wookie bitch up in nice clothes but it will always be a mookabooking piece of horse crap wookie bitch.
“It is black American women whose bodily history is bound up with the burden of reproducing the condition of unfreedom for our children. It, therefore, meant somethingpossibly even everythingto have a black woman, descended from these black women, ascend to the highest role our nation designates for women (since the presidency still eludes us).”
Fair enough, but I can’t agree that the role of First Lady qualifies as “the highest ... our nation designates for women ... “ After all, that is neither an appointed nor an elected position. Women have been able to wield far more influence by serving in the cabinet as Secretary of State (Albright, Rice, and Clinton), the Supreme Court (O’Connor, Ginsberg) or Congress, (Clinton, et. al.)
If that were not the case, Hillary Clinton would not have bothered to pursue two out of three of those jobs.
Sour pussery is all the rage.
I read this entire article, and all I can say is WOW.
The seething toxic “Destroy Whitey” sentiment oozes out of every sentence, every word. With women like Chewbacca and this author as “educated role models,” American black women are doomed, truly doomed. I have no pity nor sympathy for any angry black woman, but I do feel sorry for their babies. The babies don’t choose their lives of poverty, fatherlessness, and moral chaos.
Epic self-hatred. Talk is cheap, woman. There are millions of actual slaves being trafficked in this world today, many of them children, many of them right here in the United States, probably wishing they were picking cotton instead of being sexually degraded every day in every wayyes, worse than ol’ massa’s drunken exploits. Put your flared, indignant rage to some constructive use instead of wallowing in a past none of us alive today took any part in and about which none of us alive today can do anything to change. It was what it was. Give the abolitionists their due. And deal with today.
