Special counsel Robert Mueller and his team of prosecutors filed additional charges Thursday against President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, and a business associate.
The charges are contained in a new indictment brought by a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Virginia.
The new indictment, which had been expected, adds allegations of tax evasion and increases the amount of money Manafort is accused of laundering through offshore accounts to $30 million. The additional charges involve much of the same conduct Manafort and his longtime associate, Rick Gates, were charged with last year in an indictment in Washington.
The new indictment comes a week after Mueller filed charges against 13 Russians, accusing them of a vast conspiracy to undermine the US presidential election....

No mention, of course, that the charges are for activities long before Manafort was associated with the Trump campaign.
Why didn't he put this kind of pressure to Lois Lerner to find out about this IRS targeting of Conservatives when he was FBI Director?

In Manafort I wonder if Mueller is cleaning up some unfinished business from a prior stint with the FBI.

I have visions of a hunter standing over a dead rabbit and firing over and over into the fleeting remnants of the rabbit’s corpse with his shotgun. All the while his fellow hunters are sneaking around with knives looking for someone’s throat to cut.
Maybe he's waiting for that pit bull Sessions to spring into action.

ITEM——Hillary Clinton ran in two Democratic primaries——2008 and 2016-——as well as in the general election in 2016.
ITEM——Intrepid investigator Mueller “uncovered” that the Russian scheme seems to have materialized at some point in 2014.

Dates are important b/c Snowden’s’ revelations indicate Obama’s government spying apparatus began capturing all electronic data on everyone in the U.S. in 2001.
They succeeded in mastering the capture of all keystrokes, telephone calls and digital traffic by 2005.

Mueller is pissed because Manafort did not cop a plea and pleaded innocent. This is just another distraction by Mueller to create the impression that his investigation is worth the money and time. It just shows how far off it is from the original reason the special counsel was appointed.
Apparently Manifort is not making up enough lies about Trump.
Surely, Mueller’s GITMO cell is ready.
