What an idiot. There is no way for a pregnant woman to know that the baby inside of her is a psychopath, and aborting babies on the chance that they might be mentally ill is just ludicrous. Since it is impossible to determine who is mentally ill until the illness actually manifests, the only way to kill off the mentally ill babies is to kill off all the babies. Of course, people who reason like that are, themselves, mentally ill.

Cruz, among any of his other deficits, did have a broken family history, and honest speculation can assume that history was part of how he got so messed up. The beginning in all of that was yes, adoption, however, it can in no way be assumed that a child will grow up with any particular issue just because they are adopted.
It was not - none of it - due to his natural mother giving him up for adoption. The rest was history she could in no way have foreseen nor was it predetermined. Choices persons made - including by Cruz himself and other than his mother - along the way MIGHT have contributed to how Cruz turned out. But the act of his adoption was not the determinant factor.
