An off-duty officer with the Chicago Police Department has died after he was "senselessly murdered" in a downtown building Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Commander Paul Bauer, of the 18th District, was chasing a suspect when he was "shot multiple times," Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said at a news conference.

Paul’s blood and that of other rank and file officers killed in the line of duty is on the hands of the corrupt city officials that perpetuate the cycle of violence that is a direct result of their catch and release policies.
If the suspected that matched the armed robber description Bauer heard, why would he engage the suspect in a, “Physical confrontation”? Seems a bit odd.
Of course the fake news can’t get anything right nowadays and likely missed half the details.
