Erin Hamlin has led Team USA out for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang after being named as flag carrier ahead of Shani Davis, who boycotted the ceremony. Hamlin, a four-time Olympian and winner of a luge bronze medal at the 2014 Sochi games, beamed a broad smile as she led out the athletes competing at the games in South Korea to the accompaniment of 'Gangnam Style'. The 31-year-old was chosen in a coin toss with, speedskater Shani Davis, one of just a few black athletes in TeamUSA, who says he should have been chosen to carry the Stars and Stripes.

My kids go to very diverse schools. You should hear what they see at school. Basically the blacks and Latinos behave like animals. And they get it all from pop culture, media, and....from the parent(s)

I watched the opening ceremonies live this AM because I wondered if the girl who won the coin toss was going to be coerced/shamed/forced to let him carry it.
Added bonus: no commentary on the live stream whatsoever. I got to just watch. No hand wringing over race, muslims, gays, inclusiveness, blah blah blah.
To those who want to tune in tonight but really only want to see the US - they come in the venue very early on (first 15 or so nations).

A couple of pieces of advice for Davis: Leave the Black Lives Matter crap back at home.
Learn that people want to hear from a winner at the Olympics, not a whiney, crybaby loser who thinks it's all about him and not his country.
I never heard of the Davis Winter Olympic Team. Just the US Olympic TEAM (as in not certain individuals, but as in a TEAM).
Davis started this Olympics by falling flat on his face.

Probably just as well he boycotted. Not sure how you can take a knee while marching, but I’m sure he would have found a way.
I’ll be interested to see if he blames the “white ice” when he doesn’t win a medal in his event.
