The most powerful rocket to leave Earth since the Apollo missions launched from Florida yesterday. The Falcon Heavy jumbo rocket, developed by flamboyant SpaceX billionaire Elon Musk, had a sole 'passenger' onboard - a mannequin named 'Starman' - who rode to space inside a Tesla roadster. Incredible real-time footage has emerged from inside the car showing stunning views of our planet sailing past its windscreen, as David Bowie's Life on Mars plays in the background.

Are they keeping this thing in the Earth’s shadow. Remember that temperature swings in space go from hundreds of degrees below zero to hundreds of degrees ABOVE zero. The paint, tires and even the “starman” won’t last long in direct sunlight.

I think it is great that we got back in the space race but all this money that this so-called billionaire has came from loans under Obama. Just think about it when does he start to pay it back?
No, actually it was broadcasting David Bowie’s “Space Oddity”. Unfortunately, the transmitter and the cameras were being powered by the car’s battery pack, which only lasted 12 hours, so unless Elon decided to hide a surprise second power source somewhere that can activate later, it’s all done.
