One thing that leaves me disheartened is how much security is around the Super Bowl and how the network news plays it all out as normal.

A Metro Transit spokesman says 17 people were taken away after they blocked a light-rail line carrying Super Bowl ticketholders to the stadium.
Howie Padilla says no one was hurt in the protest, which blocked trains for about two hours ahead of Sunday’s kickoff. Metro Transit had buses standing by to get ticketholders to the stadium in time.
The activists said they were protesting police brutality, as well as the light-rail trains being taken over by Super Bowl spectators rather than being available to ordinary citizens.
Padilla says Metro Transit doesn’t expect the 17 activists to face charges. He says Metro Transit respects people’s right to free speech and demonstration.

Now there’s a Mensa candidate. What does free speech have to do with blocking patrons access to any kind of event?
Translation: They’re afraid they’ll riot, loot and burn whatever they can.
I would like to see thousands of non-African activists protest the black-on-white hate crimes, the black-on-white beat downs, the knock out games, the black on white theft, black on white muder, rape, etc. thousands of these crimes occur annually, and yet, there is never a protest, why?

You're right but I saw a few other subtle gestures of disrespect like covering one's turned-aside face with the hands during the anthem; and another, rocking rhythmically back and forth to the groovy strains of The Star Spangled Banner.
