A dead goose fell from the sky and knocked a 51-year-old hunter unconscious on Maryland's Eastern Shore.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Thursday in Easton, Maryland, near the Miles River. Robert Meilhammer, of Crapo, Maryland, was hunting with three others for waterfowl when someone in the group fired on a flock of Canada geese overhead.

Yeah but I was talking about Crapo. I lived in both Maryland & Virginia. Maryland sucks in my opinion. Mainly due to the political makeup of the state. Virginia went down hill so I got out of there too.

Cry of the Dying Duck in a Thunderstorm

Every duck season, on the Connecticut coast we always have a few duck hunters who lose their lives; had another two, 2 weeks ago. Often they find the dog alive but rarely the hunter/s.

My son has a *system* ...just takes the breasts. So we don’t have the boiling water....feathers, big mess. UGH!

Usually we freeze the breasts until there are enough for a nice meal. This year I made a LOT of duck/goose jerky for the dogs.

I love Maryland, but won’t be able to afford to retire here, and I hate that my vote never counts. But it’s a beautiful state.
