I"m glad Roger Goodell got his $200 million. That was money well spent.

My guess is that there are going to be actual price drops in ticket prices. Probably not on the list price, but some kind of “buy 4, get one free” type deals.

Yes the marketers will be busy this offseason, jacking off the morons who will shell out real money to watch a charade every Sunday. Anything to, in the immortal words of the climate fraudsters, “hide the decline.”

The NFL is a circus where the clowns wear numbers on their shirts.

The 4-12 Houston Texans raised ticket prices.

“I will be interested to see how many people don’t renew their season tickets next year.”

Exactly. It’s been the cheap seats that are not selling, because all the season seat were sold before all this BS started. Wait until the big money business owners saw “screw you” to the season ticket salesmen when they call this Spring.

There are tons of people on waiting lists. The NFL teams will always have people who want to see the games in person. The big money is TV, though.

You are probably right. Not a big deal to fill a stadium with 70k people from a large metropolis. If TV ratings fall, that will be the biggest indication of where things are going. I have watched about 10 minutes of NFL this year except for when I was at someone else’s home where a game was on. Pretty much dead to me...

Lots of those people on season ticket waiting lists are between 40 and 65, are successful and have disposable income.

Many realize how lucky they were to be born in American too and still have patriotism.

So time will tell.

I tend to agree....various discounted tickets will exist. Any team that came out of this season with a really lousy record will be offering a lot of 50-percent off tickets to get folks into the stadiums. I also think season tickets will take a hit.

There’s also the problem with fan paraphernalia. A lot of sports shops are existing now off NBA and MLB stuff. All of the clubs were making a generous income off jerseys and various other items. I expect drafted rookies to make less on contracts offered.

Well gosh, I was watching everything I could see, which was more than I could remember. I thought the Eagles lost! So I guess it’s Eagles Vikings, Pats Jags. OK, I’m psyched!

There are tons of people on waiting lists. The NFL teams will always have people who want to see the games in person.

Waiting lists are usually free. Putting actual money down - thousands of dollars for seat rights in newer stadiums plus hundreds or thosands more for the actual season tickets - is another story.

The NFL is facing a perfect storm of overpriced seats due to owner greed and a PR disaster in kneeling players. An overpriced, increasingly unpopular product is no way to do business.
