ROFL!!!!

i’m 49 and been a fan since 8 and blame my older brother!!

They’re gonna win the super bowl next year!!!!

It has to happen!!!

I can’t die without seeing them in a superbowl!!!

I WILL die without seeing them in one even if i live to 100. :(

I was maybe 7 months old when Broadway Joe won it.

I didn’t enjoy it that much :)

It’s easy for me to boycott the playoffs. The jets are never in them lol

As has been endlessly surmised, the decline in NFL ratings is due to two primary factors: (a) poor product; and (b) anti-American actors. In this kind of dynamic, if the entertainment quality can be elevated, then antipathy towards the players may be somewhat ameliorated; not entirely, but enough to perhaps draw in some viewers.

So, when I came across a news flash that the Titans had pulled within a TD, I went ahead and turned on the tube. As many know, the final 10 minutes were classic football, the type of situation that literally created the NFL back in '58. After both the failed TD return off the 2 point attempt, and then the failed fumble which was also run back, the KC crowd was going nuts. (Along with the announcers cracking voice.)

Same thing happened yesterday with the NO game. Was going about my business when I saw an item that mentioned the game had tightened up. Once again, turned on the TV in time to watch a thoroughly engrossing final 10 minutes.

In these kinds of situations, I'm the furthest person from caring about 'muh team'. Rather, I enjoy a good game, and can (temporarily) check my disdain for the players. I also keep the sound muted during commercials, and make a mental note not to patronize any of the advertisers. In my mind, I'm using the NFL, rather than the league using me.

The Buffalo Bolshevik QB hung 3 points on the Jaguars? Only a double digit IQ’er would have paid money to watch that sandlot slop.

I’m surprised they were only down 10%.
Had no interest in watching any of them.

I would throw in a third dynamic, video streaming. If you're willing to accept basic video quality, you can watch any game on your laptop, via YouTube, and there's no way they'll be able to count it in the ratings. It's probably not exactly legal, but for those who just want to occasionally check in and watch bits and pieces of an interesting game, then it will do.

Yahoo News has an article out claiming that 33% surveyed say they INTENTIONALLY STOPPED WATCHING THE NFL this season.

Then they try to muddy the waters by claiming that number was evenly divided between Trump and Kaepernick supporters.

I had been a long time fan, but I was losing interest anyway before this season, to be honest. The product has reduced in quality quite a bit. They have taken a game designed to be played in 60 minutes and made it a 3-plus hour marathon struggling through endless and mind-numbingly repeated commercials. Poor officiating, making it a few grades away from WWE. Add a bunch of hypocritical spoiled punks bitching about the country that gave them those very opportunities and that is just not something I will spend my time or money on any longer. My weekends are for more enjoyable and productive now.

I was in a National Guard Drill when that game was played. We watched on a B&W TV that someone brought in. Thanks to Joe Namath, the Super Bowl is what it is today!

BOYCOTT THE NFL PLAYOFFS!!!!™...FOREVER!!!

BOYCOTT THE SUPER BOWL!!!!™

"The Buffalo Bolshevik QB hung 3 points on the Jaguars?"

If the Jags could only put up 10 points against the Bills I don't give them much chance against the Pats next week.

All things i’ve been told.

I WILL ban the playoffs forever because the Jets will never be in them lol!!

With lead ins like Tennessee-KC and Buffalo-Jacksonville, few people realized this wasn’t the regular season .

They will blame it on the absence of popular teams.

Yep that’s a good excuse, lack of popular teams.

If you think about it, how many of us know who plays for the Jaguars? How many casual fans even know that Jacksonville, Florida, has an NFL team?
