Seems like so many things are coming in to focus. My hopes are high

In my last comment, I only asked the following question.

What is Twitter then?

If Twitter is not a message board, then what is it?

You may refuse to answer the question, if you like. I can look up the vague and generalizing description of Twitter instead: the kind of description all too common coming out of academia, business and politics during recent years.

Twitter
Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter
“Twitter...is an online news and social networking service...”

That’s very clever. Bulletin board packages during the 1980s would fit the same description, but the metaphor was typically more specific and concise. Contemporary language used in universities and corporate offices is dazzling in its vague generalizations. Very cute. We’re really impressed.

No reason to be a smart*ss because you don’t know what Twitter is and/or does.

My point is this: you said people can edit their Tweets. I asked you how. I’ve been using Twitter for many years for a variety of different clients, including our own company and I’ve never seen the ability to edit a Tweet.

You can delete a Tweet, you can’t edit one

Facebook- you can edit your post.

Instagram- you can edit your post.

Twitter- you can not edit your post.

They definitely can see IP and device addresses because Q mentions it when he or she was testing on the old board. That’s how they verified.

Wow. A master of “social media.” Like I said, that’s really impressive! When each middle aged, matronly person drives by while using social media, we lower level tinkerers try to stay out of her way out of respect for those who know how to use the highest level software. The Windows-Apple-Android culture rules the roads and those aisles in Walmart that are all too narrow for them. The rest of us wait for their elite highnesses and try to stay out of their way.

Buddy, I’m not a master of anything, except asking people to explain things.

No offense to you intended. I sincerely wanted to know how to edit a Tweet. I write hundreds every week and schedule them. Editing a Tweeted Tweet if need be would be a boon.

That’s why I asked.

But yeah, if you’re offended because I tripped you up when I wasn’t even trying, that’s on you.

Here’s another one, if it didn’t autoplay for you after “#Tyler is Q anon.”

#Tyler - Proof
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zY63l_n9OQ

Little admission here. I played with some simple bots with IRC back in the ‘90s. Only polite bots with unsuspecting others, though, and didn’t keep any of them going for long. Wrote a simple mailbot to use with a listserver only for experimentation.

Twitter, BTW, is still bot city. Write something to keep ‘em out, and they’ll be upgraded or replaced with more complicated packages.

“freakin me out, man..”

Yeah, Jason’s such a good friend. ;-D

I wanted to toss that video link out there to show that quite a few characters with different agendas are paying attention to each, too. Kids, “just say no to drugs” (a little immunity to social problems there). ;-)

The following is more relevant to the more technical and less social side of the issue (the video link in my last comment).

Also, some might want to look up information on gaslighting.

Part of my personal philosophy is to take a few moments to focus on what is most real—both the elements of the issue and the whole. For example, old question of what really is a network. Visualize the real physical part of it. The discussion board is not a room. It is not even a discussion board.

It is a combination of hardware, codes and signals that facilitates communication between real people and often storage for electronic representations of documents, images,...or something like that.

I tend to avoid fiction most of the time and do avoid thinking about fiction as though it were real. But then look at my tagline. Even that came from fiction. It only relates with exaggeration to some matters of reality, for example, a symptom of feminism, romanticism, judicial opportunism, lust and the long divorce/cohabitation trend. Metaphorically speaking (unrealistic way of speaking), it screams for attention.

For an example of learning to perceive politics realistically, how do we obtain and share resources? Many young people fail to see past the first unrealistic remedy. Many older people tend to speak and act in such ways as to confirm the complaints of younger people (e.g., a volunteer fire department fire chief in a rural, very sparsely populated area taking a salary well in excess of $200,000 per year without saving houses or lives because of distances involved).

More terms: artificial scarcity, planned obsolescence, subsidies, group medical insurance, tax deductions for residential PV solar energy, local planning regulations, socialism.

Two more phrases...nonpolitical politics, collapse of the Soviet Union.

Maybe taking more time out from using the Internet would be good.

"They definitely can see IP and device addresses because Q mentions it when he or she was testing on the old board. That’s how they verified."

Thanks. Yes. Those would show more or less in logs for site administrators, depending on how configuration is done. I haven't done admin for quite a long time and do tend to forget that device addresses are more commonly passed around now. Do see it as a reminder while using a sniffer to check for firewall configuration, VOIP function/security or whatever once in a while.

Thanks! Don’t know which board that was posted to today. As you and I know, the Q posts have gone to different boards at different times.

I can tell you this. It has nothing to do with security for the host or user. It’s more likely to keep those who are following it something more to keep their minds busy. If you want to keep a guest’s mind following your presentation without thinking about anything else, blindfold them and have them turn around a few times.

Warning to readers: vulgarities, antisemitic implications and other objectionable speech behind the following link. Cleaner than it was in the recent past but still pretty grungy.

Did you see this?

So, “Ninth rule of /cbts/: Q is an AI talk is prohibited here.” The real CBTS board as it is now:

Sorry about the lack of attention earlier, bitt. Was in a rush. I see now! And yes. After a quick search on the /qresearch/ thread of the day, it appears to be removed. Thanks for catching that!

Check this out.

“IMPORTANT:
NO private comms past/present/future.”

From
8ch.net/greatawakening/index.html

Looks inconsistent with what you quoted from Q’s earlier post, eh? Possible human emulation of bot? Very short thread there (3 posts by Q), by the way. Easy to find.

Copy and paste the following incomplete URL into your browser navigation bar and hit enter. Your browser should automatically add the https://

8ch.net/greatawakening/index.html

Pasting manually prevents showing FR in 8ch webserver referrer log. I should have done that earlier.

You can do the same to see the qresearch thread by replacing greatawakening in the string above with qresearch.

Upon accessing a thread, if a dialogue box for posting or replying pops up, just kill it by clicking on the little _X_. That way, you won’t accidentally post.
