My son and his family live north of Pendleton in San Clemente. It’s simply beautiful and the weather can’t be best.
We were out there for 2+ weeks at Christmas and while I did enjoy the temps I got tired of constantly hearing Spanish spoken everywhere. One day as I drove past the high school, which was letting out, I felt like I was in another country.
I live in one of the whitest, conservative counties in FL, so I hardly ever Spanish, but when I go to parts of Jacksonville, Tampa, and Orlando I too get pissed off with hearing another language spoken, but even worse is when all the signs in Walgreen’s in Tampa were all in Spanish, and hardly anyone could speak English who worked there.
