FULL TITLE: WATCH: Pro-Abortion Student Defends Infanticide. Killing a 2-Year-Old Baby is Okay Because “It Can’t Communicate”

A pro-abortion student has been filmed on video defending infanticide, saying there is nothing wrong with killing a two-year-old baby. The student at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville bragged about his support for infanticide up to two years of age.

The video, provided to LifeNews by Students for Life of America, shows a pro-abortion student defending his position in favor of ending the lives of unborn children.

During the video, the student also defends infanticide and says that there’s nothing wrong with killing newborn babies because they are not capable of taking care of themselves or holding an intellectual conversation. The twisted logic claims that because babies are not on the same level as someone old enough to feed and clothe themselves and to carry on a conversation that apparently their life is somehow less valuable.

That is the same contorted and twisted logic that abortion advocates use to defend abortion. Supposedly because unborn babies are something less than capable adult human beings their lives have no value. It is the same kind of logic that also persecutes the elderly and disabled and says that their lives have less value because they are supposedly less capable.

“The fact of the matter is without communication, we have no way of knowing of you are sentient or not,” the unidentified student says in the video clip. “It’s no different than this tree. It’s alive, but is it sentient? I don’t know. I cannot communicate with it.”

Then he defends killing infants.

“Can the two year old talk to me? In some instances I’m fairly certain that is,” the student said. “But generally speaking the child still has the inability to communicate. And until we determine that as such at what point does sentience become an issue. We can’t really debate whether or not that is the situation or not.”

The head of the pro-life student group was not surprised by the warped thinking.

“The idea that someone could support infanticide is incredibly disturbing. Yet, it reflects the kinds of attitudes our staff members and students can face on a daily basis on high school and college campuses,” Students for Life of America president Kristan Hawkins said. “Life is only valuable if I can talk to it?”

At 14 months, my little granddaughter said, “I love you” to her sister

That's young.

I seen it the other way, too, when highly intelligent children don't talk until later than normal. Sometimes they just start talking in sophisticated sentences.

Have these monsters never held an infant, and stroked and patted its back and felt that rush of oxytocin that is released?

Are they human?

I have never felt anything more profound than the feeling I experienced holding and cuddling an infant...it is like a message of comfort from God.

(Yes, males too release oxytocin when they cuddle an infant)

I don’t know about most 2-year-olds, but mine could most certainly communicate with me at that age.

I was going to say, I have met lots of 2 years old children that can communicate, better than some adults I night add.

“So...when this guy is sleeping, ask him a question, If he doesn’t answer, I guess you can kill him.”

I’ll pull the truck around.

This will sound quite odd, I could read when I entered kindergarten.

There was no explanation for it, the teacher assumed my parents had taught me....but I just could.

It is strange.

I read the Chicago papers every day from about 3.5 years of age.

I was a sickly child and suffered from a bout of rheumatic fever.

The principle would carry me up the stairs every day.

We became friends. I would visit with him many days after lunch break.

I was 7 and shocked him when he discovered I was reading the same book he was... William F Buckley’s “God And Man At Yale”

I’m pretty weird.

Probably not, Bob. The joy of holding a newborn - baby, dog, kitten - is a rare experience for a young person today, I would imagine. The baby is white and therefore evil, the dog has fleas and the kitten causes allergies. Too many young people have too few experiences in life because of overprotective parents and school officials.

I fear for the future.

So.. if the pro-abort activist got laryngitis, they’d be okay with being post natally aborted because they couldn’t communicate I presume?

Yup.
I knew a guy who pressured his girlfriend to have an abortion.
I was so sickened by the display that I refused to ever speak to him again.

I bought a huge supply of baby things for her and gave it to her at her baby shower.... I was the only guy there....that’s pitiful.

During the video, the student also defends infanticide and says that there’s nothing wrong with killing newborn babies because they are not capable of taking care of themselves or holding an intellectual conversation.

The same logic would mean that a welfare recipient could be legitimately killed. I wonder what his response would be about killing chronic criminals, under the rationale that they are of no value to society?

He was well taught by Peter Singer the professor who has reared an entire generation of these Nazis.

Singer should have been shot when he disembarked his plan when he arrived in the US.

IIRC he is still at Princeton.

Peter Singer the philosopher has been advocating this for decades...at Princeton.

So she went ahead and had the baby? Good for her.

My best friend in college had an abortion because her husband insisted. I objected and they cut me off for the next 20 years. (Of course, if they hadn’t asked my opinion, I would never have known but they wanted my blessing, I guess.)

Human relationships never, ever change despite statistics so beloved by Freepers. Both men and women are responsible for this horror.

I would dread standing before God if I had any hand in aborting a baby.

As it is, my conscience is fairly clear, and I don’t dread that day...too much.

I’m not espousing any particular religious creed here, but I feel we all face “Everything That Is” eventually.

Women have said “I felt I had no choice” when they had the abortion”.

No excuse.

Women blaming men for women’s actions does not make men at fault for women’s actions, it simply shows that the women are failing to be accountable for their own actions, which is the core of the problem.

There is no gift as great as the ability to give birth.

And there is no evil as great as killing an infant.

Nothing else need be said.
