I've nothing against TS, but the prices for her concerts are totally out of line with her fan base.
Now, they see what she's really worth..............

Anyone that would pay $150 for a ticket deserves to be charged $500 in the future. No one is worth anything close to $100 of my money.

I paid $5 to see Chicago in the Key arena in Seattle in the 70’s. I stopped going to concerts when tickets reached $50. It’s just not that important.
And now you can get a blue ray disc of a concert with amazing camera angles and sound quality, and watch it over and over. And there are no parking hassles and all of the other negatives that come with going to a concert.

There’s a market price for everything, including NFL game tickets and concerts by pop stars.
If she can’t sell out, based on supply and demand, the price of tickets is too high.
She would have sold out all shows if the tickets were $10. I don’t know how prices are arrived at for concerts by pop stars, but, clearly they misjudged in pricing for her, assuming the goal was to have sold out shows.

Was Taylor Swift even born yet in 1989??

A few years ago I made the comment here on FR that I never understood what people saw in Taylor Swift. I didn’t say she was untalented. But I did imply that she wasn’t anything special. You would have thought I’d attacked the Lord Jesus based on the responses I got.
Well, I still don’t think she’s anything special.

Thats the verdict from ticked-off fans, who are balking at buying seats for the 28-year-old pop stars tour to promote her new Reputation album, citing stratospheric markups and greedy sales gimmicks.
I paid $150 for my ticket with amazing seats for the 1989 tour. Now for the same seats I have to pay about $500, Twitter user swiftieloves recently griped.
The "28-year-old pop 'star'" might have been a year old in 1989....

If you are charging $500 a seat, you don’t need to sell out.

Still a long time to sell tickets. Pure market theory says if you sell out in minutes you’re not charging enough.

Taylor, you are making it as hard to get a seat at your concerts as it is to get into an Enya concert.

She could lower the price and make it up in volume. Say, $50 admission, and fill the largest arena.

I remember a ticket to an Elvis concert cost $15 in 1977, which was about average for most performers. That is about $60 in today’s money.

Fans virtually get the music for free these days. The primary way for artists to make money is ticket sales to concerts.

A look at Ticketmasters interactive seat charts confirms that Swifts schedule of 33 dates for the North American Reputation tour has yet to produce a single sellout, from its May 8 launch in Phoenix to its Oct. 6 finale in Arlington, Texas. Could be a rebellion against Ticketmaster. I ordered five tickets for The Lion King in May and the Ticketmaster fees totaled $95.

I saw McCartney, Stones, Neil Young, Dylan, Neil Young, The Who, and Pink Floyd at Desert Trip in 2016 over three evenings for $700 (30% of face value).
Nothing will top that, am no longer interested in live concerts, but patronize our local live venue the Coachhouse.
