First, what are your favorite Christmas songs?
I would name Silver Bells, Do You Hear What I Hear, and White Christmas by Bing Crosby, Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives, O Come, O Come, Emmanuel by Enya, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
Second, what are some hymns, and other pieces of Christian music, that resonate at Christmas?
O Holy Night
I Saw Three Ships
The First Noel
Christmas Dream
Dominic the Donkey (just kidding)
I like a lot of the classics and orchestral pieces, but here are a couple of my favorite new arangements:
“God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings” -Barenaked Ladies, featuring Sarah McLachlan

Ditto
“Mary Did You Know” by Kenny Rogers and Wynonna Judd....FABULOUS....O Holy Night also.

You might want to listen to the version of Mary Did You Know by Michael Crawford as well.
One of my favourites is Irish singer Rhoda Barfoot singing Silent Night.

Not officially Christmas for until I hear Bing sing White Christmas. After that, O Holy Night.
Just about any version of Adeste Fidelis. I have the version by the Roches in the CD player now.(And I will be grouchy if they don't do at least one Latin verse at church tonight)
Joseph’s Song
JOY to the World!
Should be sung all year round. I have it on my desktop because along with Joy there is the hope of when...
He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love
