We’ve BEEN in a Constitutional crisis > 100yrs. already.
Comey and the Deep State merely believed they’d get away w/ the latest iteration, most egregious IMO: the silent coup.

There is strong circumstantial evidence that an insidious plot unprecedented in American history was hatched within the FBI and the Obama Justice Department to help elect Hillary Clinton and defeat Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election.
And when this apparent effort to improperly influence the election did not succeed, the suspected conspirators appear to have employed a fraudulent investigation of President Trump in an attempt to undo the election results and remove him as president.
Such a Machiavellian scheme would move well beyond what is known as the “deep state,” a popular reference to government employees who organize in secret to impose their own political views on government policy in defiance of democratically elected leadership.
However, this apparent plot to keep Trump from becoming president and to weaken and potentially pave the way for his impeachment with a prolonged politically motivated investigation – if proven – would constitute something far more nefarious and dangerous.
Such a plot would show that partisans within the FBI and the Justice Department, driven by personal animus and a sense of political righteousness, surreptitiously conspired to subvert electoral democracy itself in our country.
As of now, we have no proof beyond a reasonable doubt of such a plot. But we have very strong circumstantial evidence.
And as the philosopher and writer Henry David Thoreau wrote in his journal in 1850: “Some circumstantial evidence is very strong, as when you find a trout in the milk.”
Newly revealed text messages about the apparent anti-Trump plot are the equivalent of a trout in the milk. It smells fishy.

For years I’ve been reading about this scandal and that one. Dems did this and are caught there. Yet, nothing ever happens. Like watching Oak Island...

That’s a great question. Happened on October 28th (week and a half before the election) with Hillary up 5+ points in most polls.
I think Comey didn’t think it would have that big an impact that close to the election. With his failure to present an investigation to the AG that would merit a grand jury in the earlier case, I believe that he was, in fact, worried about the integrity of the FBI (too late, too little). I don’t subscribe to the Machiavellian deep-State conspiracy, so much as a pervasive culture of corruption sustained by actors in different agencies who saw themselves as champions and protectors of the country (Louis Lerner types). Benedict Arnold no doubt thought himself an honorable man.
Obama's last minute sanctions against Russia a few days before he left office were a blatant attempt to tie Trump's hands before taking office. And Congress including the vast majority of Reps ensured that Trump could not lessen the sanctions without Congressional approval.

A Constitutional crisis is drivel?
We may not be seeing what I pray may be going on behind the scenes.
But, to cavalierly call it ‘click bait’ and diminish the substance to ‘drivel’, is not helpful to protecting our God given freedoms, against these strong forces of evil.
We have been in a Constitutional Crisis for at least since Roe v Wade. It has just gotten worse is all.
FBI is thoroughly corrupt. I knew Obama would stack every Federal agency with his commie minnions. We are talking civil service government workers who can’t be fired, and will go full out commie when they finally are promoted to GS14 or some such level.
The only fix for the Federal agencies is to close them down and rebuild from scratch. And that won’t happen.

I have been screaming for 8 months that Trump needs to fire Sessions and get an AG that has the power and authority to act on everything, including the election.
What other job would you allow a worker to only complete SOME of his duties?
He had promised the committee to update them if there was any significant change in the investigation, and he knew that if he did not tell them they would soon learn about it, one way or another. It was pure CYA....
