Authorities apprehended a terrorist suspect Monday after he orchestrated an explosion in downtown Manhattan, but CNN and MSNBC decided to pivot from the breaking news to cover a much more pressing story: President Donald Trump’s TV habits and love of Diet Coke.
Initial reports indicate that the explosion is a probable terror attack, but as details of the attack were still being fleshed out, both CNN and MSNBC spent a significant amount of time covering a New York Times story about a day in the life of POTUS.
CNN talked to Michael D’Antonio, a CNN contributor, about Trump’s TV-watching habits and how much diet coke he drinks every day from 8:40 am ET to 8:47 am.

I saw this with my own eyes - sometimes with breaking news I’ll switch to CNN to see if they have more people on the scene or whatever - and I got DietCokeGate instead. Unbelievable!
I saw this on CNN this morning...I was in the gym as local news was reporting on the explosion- i went to increase the volume on the TV and inadvertently hit the channel button which went to CNN...the headlines on CNN, as there was a bomb which just exploded in NYC read:

Trump derangement syndrome is a fact of science and we see evidence of it all day long in the MSM.
So Pres. Trump drinks Diet Coke. That is much better than the jug-eared dopehead who previously resided in the White House.
CNN is probably reporting that only idiots actually watch TV. “Everything on TV is a lie, “ says Wolf Blitzer. “It’s frightening that the President is taking in so much low quality information. Sensible people have turned us off years ago.”

However, I do remember checking out pMSNBC and CNN, especially when Smith or Rivera came on FNC.
