How do you know Neegan won’t die? Comic books? Please don’t say because of the comic books. Maybe Neegan won’t die , maybe he will. But the best thing the writers of the show could do is to toss the comic books in the trash and forget them. A lot of what is in them is silly. And does not translate well to live action. Too much reverence for the source material, when the source material is a comic book, ruins almost every live-action film and TV show that is comic based.
Negan is too popular and his stint in jail as a weird advisor too important to the upcoming Whisperer arc.
Unless Gimble throws it all out the window.
They’re killing off Carl so Rick will spare Negan. Nothing else would allow it to make sense in the TV universe than a promise to his dying son. Too bad one of the others won’t say, “Well, I didn’t promise!” BLAM!
