Inside Trump's hour hour battle for self preservation (NY Times)
NY Times ^ | DEC. 9, 2017 | By MAGGIE HABERMAN, GLENN THRUSH

With Twitter as his Excalibur, the president takes on his doubters, powered by long spells of cable news and a dozen Diet Cokes. But if Mr. Trump has yet to bend the presidency to his will, he is at least wrestling it to a draw.

WASHINGTON — Around 5:30 each morning, President Trump wakes and tunes into the television in the White House’s master bedroom. He flips to CNN for news, moves to “Fox & Friends” for comfort and messaging ideas, and sometimes watches MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” because, friends suspect, it fires him up for the day.

Energized, infuriated — often a gumbo of both — Mr. Trump grabs his iPhone. Sometimes he tweets while propped on his pillow, according to aides. Other times he tweets from the den next door, watching another television. Less frequently, he makes his way up the hall to the ornate Treaty Room, sometimes dressed for the day, sometimes still in night clothes, where he begins his official and unofficial calls.

As he ends his first year in office, Mr. Trump is redefining what it means to be president. He sees the highest office in the land much as he did the night of his stunning victory over Hillary Clinton — as a prize he must fight to protect every waking moment, and Twitter is his Excalibur. Despite all his bluster, he views himself less as a titan dominating the world stage than a maligned outsider engaged in a struggle to be taken seriously, according to interviews with 60 advisers, associates, friends and members of Congress.

I don’t trust a word that comes from frauds like Maggie and Glenn. Some amount of this may be true, or not, but I view it as a word salad of libtard babblings.

You know this article is fair, balanced and unbiased with all the gems in it, such as:

“Representative Nancy Pelosi of California, the House Democratic leader, who has tried to forge a working relationship with the president.”

This from the woman that said she can find nothing she could work with President Trump.

Absolute true post of this thread. King David of Israel had the same problem because he was doing what was right. I would hope Trump's staff or someone encourages him to reads those passages and pray to God for support:

Psalms 9:13 Be gracious to me, O Lord; Behold my affliction from those who hate me, Thou who dost lift me up from the gates of death;
Psalms 35:19 Do not let those who are wrongfully my enemies rejoice over me; Neither let those who hate me without cause wink maliciously.
Psalms 38:19 But my enemies are vigorous and strong; And many are those who hate me wrongfully.
Psalms 69:4 Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head; Those who would destroy me are powerful, being wrongfully my enemies, What I did not steal, I then have to restore.
Psalms 86:17 Show me a sign for good, That those who hate me may see it, and be ashamed, Because Thou, O Lord, hast helped me and comforted me.
Psalms 101:3 I will set no worthless thing before my eyes; I hate the work of those who fall away; It shall not fasten its grip on me.
Psalms 118:7 The Lord is for me among those who help me; Therefore I shall look with satisfaction on those who hate me.

I am positive someone is going to try to kill President Donald Trump. Now, all the Secret Service guys will get to read the Psalms passages. :D

I quit watching TV based ‘news’ 16 years ago as it became content free ‘infotainment’ hype and garbage. Has it changed for the better since then?

It reads like a piece of fiction of how those “reporters” imagine that Trump spends his day.

I seriously doubt they’ve been in any kind of position to actually observe him.

But let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they did observe his private life for a day. So he watches the news? It is their biased spin that he is obsessed with looking for material to criticize them. (One does not have to search for such material—the MSM is pretty free with publishing fake and biased reports.) They could as easily report that the President is obsessed with staying informed about current events by watching a variety of news broadcasts from different outlets. But in their biased worldview, all of the President’s actions must be interpreted in an unfavorable light.

Or, as the old joke goes, if they were to observe Trump walking on water, they would report that he can’t swim.

What a great selection of verses. You have sent me to my Bible this morning.

I pray daily for the good health and safe protection of our President Trump.

You’re welcome. I need folks to post passages to remind me of truth too. I slipped in something to assist the Secret Service in finding some good passages to read. :D

Thrush is the reporter who sent his stories to Hillary campaign chair John Podesta for approval.

“The exchange between Thrush and Podesta was revealed by Wikileaks (Podesta Email 12681). In the email, Thrush sends several paragraphs about Hillary’s fundraising operation and leads into the article by admitting, “Because I have become a hack I will send u the whole section that pertains to u.” After asking Podesta not to “share or tell anyone I did this,” Thrush seeks Podesta’s approval on the article by saying, “Tell me if I fucked up anything.”

Not amusing at all, no, not a fun read. If you believe even half of it is true you need a reality check.
